I am one of the biggest Bourdon fans out there. But I don't think we should with hold players from using that number. I am not on the inside, but it's been a long time since that terrible incident. It's enough time to let players use the number.

Who here is actually happy with the Hronek trade?
JeremyCuddles replied to Odd.'s topic in Canucks Talk
I loved the trade, but I do dislike the direction. But Hronek as a player is pretty darn good. Here's hoping he's 100% come September. It's hard to judge this trade as of right now. But the player as constituted in Detroit was worth the price we paid. But, I was for sure on team tank. I wanted Miller gone, I wanted to use that 1st and 2nd rounder in this draft. So do I like the trade from a what we got? Yes, do I like it from a organizational direction standpoint? Not really. But I am hopeful we can retool our way to being a legit playoff threat. And not just become a 1 and done playoff team til Petey and Hughes retire/leave. -
[Speculation] Canucks exploring Tyler Myers trade
JeremyCuddles replied to brian42's topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
I am just here to see how many people are buying what renowned insider Rachel "Assistant to the video guy" Doerrie is saying. She might know, but until someone with actual inside knowledge says something, her word means less than what I left in the toilet after work. -
[Proposal] Vancouver - Philadelphia
JeremyCuddles replied to Junkyard Dog's topic in Proposals and Armchair GM'ing
That Sanheim contract is an abomination and from the sounds of it, Allvin has already turned it down. Dreger said Philly was trying very hard to send us Sanheim around the draft. I wouldn't take it for Myers and Garland. -
Is this the video where he was panicking about the Canucks "not caring" about Petey? I follow some hockey channels, mostly gaming channels, and this video was recommended to me. So I clicked it and it was some of the worst bit of sports talk I ever heard. And I had to listen to Stephen A and Molly what's her face say hockey doesn't count. The sad fact of the matter is these guys will never go away cause so many people hate watch their content, and link their garbage here. Then the youtube/Twitter algorithms keep feeding those people their content. And it's just a cycle of people bitching about these media types.

[Signing] Senators sign Zack MacEwen
JeremyCuddles replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
Gave up some potential cash for security. But he hasn't really etched out a legit niche in the NHL. Good deal for both sides imo. If he ends up in the AHL he stills gets good paydays for 3 years. Or if he sticks, Ottawa gets a physical depth guy for really cheap. -
[RUMOUR] Carolina looking to make major moves
JeremyCuddles replied to Elias Pettersson's topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
If they wanted to make a major move they should have went balls to the wall for Miller. Now ya missed your window. Good job dummies. -
[Rumour] Nikita Tryamkin eyeing NHL return
JeremyCuddles replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
He was never actually contemplating coming back here. Or there's no interest in him cause he's overhyped. Either way. The most overrated Canuck in history, please leave this dead horse alone. -
[Signing] Canucks sign Teddy Blueger
JeremyCuddles replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
Dhaliwal mentioned that teams were surprised Blueger signed with us. 1 year deal, waiting for the cap to go up, get the bread. Sounds like Cole's plan as well. At least from what I gather from Dhaliwal's comments. Gonna be an interesting season for sure. -
[Signing] Penguins sign Will Butcher
JeremyCuddles replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
This guy went from 0 to hero back to 0. What an interesting career. -
5'9, 7th rounder that looked good in 34 games at 24 years of age. Solid show me deal. 82 games is a lot more than 34. One year show me deal isn't enough imo. Gotta put in the work. Good contract. Kid has played in Quebec all his life, doubt they're too worried about losing him to free agency if he proves he's decent.

Discussion Reinbacher at the Combine
JeremyCuddles replied to Kuzy's topic in General Hockey Discussion
And were we so different in 2016? Every fanbase has these trashbag fans that embarrass them. Vocal minority shouldn't really be used against Montreal, just like we wouldn't want it used against us cause of 2016. Also, just cause that pick went south doesn't make the initial reaction of the few that hated it right. -
[Waivers] Filip Zadina

Another soft winger? Sign us up. -
[Signing] Canucks sign Carson Soucy
JeremyCuddles replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
How many more before he gets a free coffee? Jokes aside, I do hope he can come back. I hate injuries derailing players careers. 3mil for what he brought was very fair. Guy can play anywhere in the lineup, he's a good professional, he has a cup under his belt. I like the guy. We'll see how he rebounds. I assume goal scoring will drop. But he has the smarts and work ethic to still be a good 3rd liner. 10-15 goals, 30-35 points, sound two way play. Only problem is we have 4000 wingers. -
If you didn't know better you'd be hard pressed to tell this kid was a Swede. He is incredibly well spoken. Guy speaks English better than my dumbass does. Lol. I am completely amazed by this kid. Something about him just feels like he's gonna be special. I hate putting expectations on kids. But sheesh. His work ethic, his demeanour. I dunno guys. I haven't been this excited about a draft pick since Bourdon. But I am a sucker for highly drafted RHD. This kid said last season was his 2nd season as a D. Geeeeeeez. It took him 2 seasons to go from forward to an 11th overall pick as a defensemen. That's pretty gnarly. I think some fans and media types might be underselling his upside because his offensive numbers don't pop out at you. But he's still really fresh at playing D. That's like Tim Duncan who started playing basketball in the 9th grade. Obviously different sports and I assume a growth spurt pushed him into basketball. But the point is he's still pretty new to his position.

[Signing] Canucks re-sign Akito Hirose
JeremyCuddles replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
Yeah, it was a small sample size and against weak teams that were going all out for Bedard. He looked good, but I really feel like we don't need to rush the McWards, the Hiroses and the Silovs into the NHL if we don't have to. Next season I think will be a bigger year than this coming season. Beau, Pearson and Myers will be gone. That's like 14mil in cap right there to fill holes instead of asking these kids/rookies to try fill them. Let the kids play meaningful minutes on a team that actually has playoff hopes. It's not like they aren't spitting distance from Vancouver if/when injuries occur too. I been hard on management, but sticking the kids in the A is a good move imo. If that's what the plan is. -
[Signing] Maple Leafs sign Tyler Bertuzzi
JeremyCuddles replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
Capfriendly has him signed already. With him signed they are 5mil over the cap. Which is allowed in the offseason as you're allowed to be over by 10% in the offseason right? With LTIR in the preseason they have about 560k cap space. Again, that's with Bertuzzi already listed under their cap on capfriendly. -
[Signing] Canucks re-sign Akito Hirose
JeremyCuddles replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
I notice that it says one way for 24/25, am I right to assume that means it's two way for this coming season? If that's indeed how it works, this pretty much confirms my suspicions that Hirose is Abby bound this season unless he really shines in training camp. The Irwin signing screams depth guy so we don't need to run a kid in the press box. But if he gets outplayed it won't hurt to have him in the A. -
[Signing] Canucks sign Carson Soucy
JeremyCuddles replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
I mean, people think Petey should have more Selke votes. And he killed penalties on one of the "worst penalty kill units in 30 years" and played on one of the worst defensive teams in the league. Sometimes, it's not your fault. Would I call Burroughs a PK specialist? Probably not. But he certainly wasn't the problem with our PK last season. The real laughable thing is, who the f*ck is that dude in the picture? That doesn't look like Kyle Burroughs, even when he was with the Isles. Who the heck is that guy? Am I crazy? -
[Signing] Maple Leafs sign John Klingberg
JeremyCuddles replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
Think of the powerplay with Klingberg and the Sedins though -
[Signing] Maple Leafs sign John Klingberg
JeremyCuddles replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
Klingberg just gonna mercenary his way around the league. 1 year deal at a time. We get him next? He's a Swede, feels wrong we haven't got him yet. -
[Signing] Canucks sign Ian Cole
JeremyCuddles replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
I can't watch his media thing til later, but someone give me an idea of how many times he was asked about being on like 8 different teams. I need to know if I should just avoid watching it. Our media brutalized Pearson over his injury during the year end presser and that was tough to watch without losing my sh*t. -
[Signing] Canadiens sign Brady Keeper
JeremyCuddles replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
Guess he wasn't a keeper after all. I hate myself. -
[Report] Markus Nutivaara announces retirement
JeremyCuddles replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in General Hockey Discussion
Never want to see players forced out cause of injuries. Cause for all we know this negatively effects his everyday life. Hope it's not that bad.
