    Nothing like the Ehrhoff trade. Ehrhoff was coming off an atrocious year and The Sharks wanted to get rid of him for being a give-away machine - their fans rejoiced at the trade. Ehrhoff turned his game around in Vancouver and turned into a great dman for us. Schmidt is a great dman already and we gave up pretty much nothing to acquire him.

    Vegas is exempt from the expansion draft so you're implying Vegas would just trade all their players to Seattle?

    Yea I don't get it... Vancouver was looking screwed and then Vegas just sent them a lifeline... It's like they don't even consider us a threat at all... and we weren't until they just shipped over Nate Schmidt, really.

    Tampa will match that instantly I think if it's a 1st and 3rd they might consider letting him go or maybe they target Sergachev and offer him 5.5M... Tampa can not afford that.

    You need a 2021 3rd pick if you offersheet someone over 4.36m. It leaves the possibility to send out a pretty big offer sheet to like Cernak which Tampa would not really be able to match.

    I don't think JB is done he traded away a 2022 3rd round pick. I think he is going to send out an offer sheet as well.

    Schmidt is pretty underrated but there is no way Vegas trades him to us.

    Nothing is happening. The price to dump salaries was too high for Benning and this is the cost of it. You want to give up a 1st or 2nd rounder to keep Toffoli? I don't.

    He is apparently always on the trade block but I know Ralph Krueger likes him... He doesn't want to trade but the GM might think otherwise.

    He is the guy I think we could acquire but I have a feeling it will cost like a 2nd and Juolevi or something similar.

    Absolute max I would have done if Demko was traded. Anything past 36 is very risky.

    Figured they'd try to sign Tanev after OEL fell apart.

    JB was pretty mum about Demko immediately after the playoffs and he said something like he was going to talk to Ian Clarke about the goaltending situation next year and then 3-4 days later after talking to Clarke he made it clear Demko was the future... To me that says that Ian Clarke made it clear that Demko was the goalie to go forward with. If Ian Clarke wanted Demko over Markstrom that tells you all you need to know.

    please be 7 years x 6m+ so you can &^@# the flames over.

    He still has a lot of potential to turn his game around. I'd rather take a chance on Holtby finding his form again than have signed Markstrom to 6m+ for 5+ years.
