  1. That being said this years team looked awful and doesn't even deserve to be playing for a bronze medal.
  2. He scored 30 goals at age 20 in 74 games and you compare him to Booth. There are so many things wrong with that comparison, first off there is 4 year age difference! Scoring 30 goals at 20 is a lot more impressive than scoring it at 24. It wasn't like Booth was a one hit wonder he had a great year then he got KO'd by a hit to the head and then when he returned he got hit with a blind side head shot again and then last year he had another serious injury to his leg. Booth's career has been defined by injuries and in no way comparable to Evander Kane.
  3. First off I didn't say anything about trading Burrows I said that no way he is going anywhere because he has a FULL NTC. Second big pieces would be Kesler, Sedins, Garrison... not a career 3rd line player like Hansen. Just look at what the Canucks line could be: Sedin - Sedin - Kane Higgins - Kesler - Santorelli Burrows - Richardson/Schroeder - Booth Welsh/Sestito - Dalpe - Weise Edler - Garrison Bieksa - Hamhuis Weber - Stanton Then Imagine in a few years Shinkaruk - Horvat - Kane. I would honestly try to not involve Tanev but I think that would be the deal breaker.
  4. He is 22 year old power forward who has already proven he can score 30+ goals. To put that into perspective Kassian is 22 years old and has yet to score 10 goals or even have a positive +/-. We can only hope that Kassian develops into half of what Evander Kane is going to be. You aren't really given up anything spectacular besides Tanev and how good he is going to be is completely unknown right now. That trade is a viable trade unlike people suggesting Burrows or Kesler who have full NTC's they are going no where.
  5. That is a penalty, Hamhuis might of blocked it if he wasn't interfered with.
  6. I disagree completely. The Stars are the far easier opponents put Luongo in and increase the chances of getting 2 points tomorrow Lack plays and if he plays well and steals 2 points then they are just bonus points.
  7. I seem to remember them making it to the western finals by being the first team to come back from 3-1 down twice and failed to do it a third time if memory serves me right.
  8. Um just walking downtown and looking at someone wrong starts a fight lol
  9. What caught my eye was what Perron said after the second period. "They are playing a great game and we need to be better" something along those lines anyways and something that you never heard under AV systems.
  10. GSP concussed > Hendricks GSP 100% >>>>>>>> Hendricks
  11. Yea cause Bertuzzi's career is over too right? Thorton will get 8-15 games he has no previous history of suspension so don't expect anything more than 15 games.
  12. Kane is 22 and already has a 30 goal season playing in Winnipeg. He is signed to a pretty cap friendly contract if he plays to his potential which really hasn't been an issue until this year. Kane is probably the only young player that has scored 30 goals or more and is on the trade market. With that being said if you think he is going to be had for Kassian, Tanev and a conditional first you are out of your mind. TO get Kane you will need to trade a top 6 forward like Kesler which is not going to happen so you would basically have to trade Edler for a top 6 forward and then flip that forward for Kane. That is the only way you will see Kane in a Canucks jersey unless MG does the unthinkable and trades away Horvat/Shinkaruk
  13. If you were an A and you had that stripped from you by a new coach that definitely would be a wake up call and light a fire under your ass to play better to prove you deserve it.
  14. You know I just realized that Kesler did not have an A on his jersey. Might be why he is playing so much better lately.
  15. Unless some one significant gets injured there is no cap space to take on Erat. There is currently around 2 million in cap space and with a 1/3 of the season done I believe Erat's cap hit for this year would be slightly lower so to get Erat a Hansen like contract has to go the other way.
  16. If we got Erat I bet you Hansen would be going to Washington
  17. Not exactly it completely depends on your game. Booth does not have a great shot so his ability to score comes from driving to the net with speed which he is seriously lacking right now due to his injury and no off season training. Now if Booth was a sniper then his lack of speed wouldn't hurt his goal production that much. Booth was almost a PPG player before his injuries when healthy there is no reason not to expect 60 points from him something that you will never get from Erat.
  18. If MG trades a top prospect for an aging "star" to try and make the playoffs I will be the first one lobbying for him to be fired.
  19. The Hawks are a much better team in every aspect of the game except maybe penalty killing. Just look how composed they are in their own end and how skilled they are when in the offensive zone. I will tell you right now unless changes are made this team is going to miss the playoffs. Unless some other team just falls off the grid which I don't see happening.
  20. What? Erat has never even put up 59 points in an entire season and he has never put up more than 23 goals. Booth has put up 31 goals and 60 points in Florida!
  21. Booth had 60 points, 31 goals in 72 games. That doesn't happen by fluke it's injuries that have been his demise, If Booth is still a Canuck come next year and stays healthy enough to be able to train all off season he will score 30 goals or very close to it and put up 60+ points. Erat has no chance of doing that. I really can't believe how stupid Canuck fans are.
  22. Erat in his prime sucked and now you are telling me that at 32, when he is clearly in decline, he just needs a change of scenery? What he needs to do is retire.
  23. What? Booth has WAY more upside than Erat. Booth has run into injuries give him a full off season to train and he could potentially be a 30 goal scorer and 60 point player again. Everyone seems to forget how Booth had surgery on his ankle and was unable to train this off season and have completely written him off. He is only 28 if he stays healthy the rest of the year and gets a full off season of training under his belt he will be WAY better than Erat. Trading for Erat would be a huge mistake he is awful. Does anyone not remember how he gave the puck away in the last 15 seconds in the playoffs against the Hawks which virtually eliminated the Preds. Don't tell me me how he is great defensively, he is as good defensively as he is a scoring which is pretty average at best.
