Like this a lot, but maybe keep the Sedins together they need a chance to rebound this season and prove people that they can still play.

I don't think the Canucks will deal Shinkaruk or Horvat for the 1st, but I do think they'll use the pieces they get back in the Kesler trade to possibly sway Tallon into taking the deal.

Although Shinkaruk is unproven at the NHL level I still want Benning to try whatever he can to keep him on the team.

Well I have no clue what they think they can trade if they wont give up Tanev.

And that's without any trades that might go down to bring in younger players. So yes to drafting Reinhart we need a 1C prospect.

Trevor and Jim clearly did a great job of convincing Willie to come to Vancouver, I don't know what was said, but whatever it was well done.

Kind of hopping on the Ritchie bandwagon, but I also wouldn't mind if we selected one of Virtanen, Ehlers or Nylander.

I agree. At this point I'm on MG's side because this is the first time he's in the position of power, trying to sell a player, but the second he pulls the trigger on a deal that involves Sutter as the MAIN piece is when I turn against him.

If this Kesler deal doesn't get done by the deadline then I think the return will be less. One can only hope Gillis is still listening to offers on Edler as well..

With the way St.louis geared up for a long playoff run, i'm sure other teams will want to do the same and match. Having Kesler for this years playoffs for a team like Philly or Pitts would be key, in my opinion at least waiting it out might hurt Kesler's value. With all the injuries Kess has suffered, it would be best to unload him now before something drastic like an injury happens.

What happened to Pouliot? yesterday that was the center piece of the deal. Now we're hearing guys like Despres, Dumoulin being the center piece? Hang the phone up Gillis, go call Philly and try to pry some of their prospects.
