  1. I agree! He hasn't been Weber bad at all this year.
  2. He has to be signed first, I think Benning mentioned that. They want him over here.
  3. The fact that he was invited to Team Canada's WJ camp, shows that it will be up to GB himself to get to the next level. Here's hoping the Canucks have a gem in their system.
  4. Forgot him, it's really crazy. Maybe this is the curse of JJ Daignault, the kid the Canucks drafted while he was carrying crutches.
  5. Yep, Hodgson, Shinkaruk, Virtanen, McCann, Cassels, and now Boeser.
  6. I think 10th Ave., going down to North Road is steeper than most of them in Burnaby.
  7. Great game of bumper cars, if it snows a skiff. Lots of fun already apparently.
  8. Currently snowing in Burnaby, and I know everyone has their snow tires on, right???? Caribou Hill is a downhill course apparently, cars spinning out, I assume going up, but I'm sure coming down, because, yes Shaky, that one is pretty steep too! Lots of hills in Burnaby.
  9. Sorry, should have said Bleacher Report, team stream is an individual section of BR. Just saw an update from Benning that he's skating on his own, and I'm sure he has been for the past while. I agree, he's probably still on IR.
  10. According to Team Stream, he's not on IR, but was two days ago. Must mean that his return is near..
  11. You'd think with all the media that are privy to Canuck practices, we would have some kind of update on this guy. Tomlinson, Shorthouse, anyone????
  12. Lenarduzzi, I agree, is a bargain bin guy. I've been saying for the past two years, why does he still have a position with the Whitecaps? Every one of their MLS picks, haven't amounted to anything that resembles elite talent, at least elite MLS talent. It's pretty sad that a 15 year old kid from their developmental program garners more interest and excitement than their draft picks have to this point. Time to break out those pennies Bobby.
  13. In other words, one of the Canuck prospects that was brought along properly in the minors. That, plus I'm part of the crowd that thinks that Gaunce is probably one of the easiest guys in the organization to coach. He might be one of those guys that can go up and down the lineup, like Burrows.
  14. Good on Wally for calling out a reporter on the post game presser. The Lions win a friggin' playoff game at home, and to have some reporter go on about plays in the first half of the game is just pathetic. They came from behind, against a very, very good Winnipeg D, and won. End of story.
  15. Thanks for your response. I like his contact game, he does finish his checks, and doesn't seem to get out of position in doing that. I'm a bit disappointed but, I think they like Labate, Skille, and the other bigger guy on the bubble to finish out the preseason. Let Travis Green work with this kid, I think he's a keeper.
  16. But, wasn't that McJesus on the ice?
  17. Does he have Rypiens' fight game?
  18. Carcone is doing his best to earn a spot in Utica, imo, but I really like his compete level. Granlund isn't in any trouble on this roster from what I've seen of him.
  19. I think he's in a real battle with Etem, and in my humble opinion, I think he really outplayed him last night. But, alas, that's one game, sigh!
  20. He is sooooo close to kicking down the door to making the NHL, that he can taste it. He's quicker, d smarter, and seems to have a really great attitude. Gaunce is going to make it difficult for the team brass next month.
  21. With all the dough spent on BC Place, this unfortunately will never happen.
  22. I'd say the South American experiment has failed. This team hasn't got a "leader", at all. I agree with all of your points above.
  23. This is one of the major problems of MLS, teams lose players to qualifiers, etc., and those are usually all the starters. However, this is minor as the Caps since their existence has never fielded the same lineup twice in a row. Time to open the wallet management, and bring in a finisher.
  24. I, for one, am glad I put on a new roof this summer. The gutters couldn't keep up, and yes it was very noisy!
