It was early this morning when I posted his interaction with Klobuchar, that alone would be reason to pull his nomination. This guy has a temper, is lying and, truth be damned, I'm going to be given a title for life. I see a trend in his lifestyle, and his appointment would be a dangerous and slippery slope.

What I saw in that hearing room, was an angry, lying drunk, bawling his eyes out. What kind of beer do you like? Do you drink beer? Those were his questions to Klouback (sp) whose 90 year old father is a recovering alcoholic. My kinda guy to be rewarded with a job for life.

A 15 year old girl was sexually assulted, period.

I think they should start at the top, and fire Lenarduzzi while they're at it. How many years of this nonsense, and the same result each and every year. The S American project isn't working, neither does the British coaching experience. They haven't progressed since Robbo took over....

In his first game of the preseason, if he lost the faceoff, (which he did most of the time), he stuck with his man the entire time the puck was in the zone. Guess what? The puck never went near that center. His defensive game and IQ is off the charts, by Christmas, he'll be winning more faceoffs than losing because of that. He's figuring out that the NHL isn't all about goals and assists.

I've said the same things before regarding Goldobin. That little bit of teasing has been there from his first game down in San Jose two years ago. He never seems to be "in" the game to me for some reason. When I hear Green talking about Dahlen, and how he thinks the game and how he gets the drills with one explanation, Goldobin had better be all in during the preseason. The complete game consistently, is what I mean. Then aGent, I see what you are saying, we gave Hansen away for that????

I remember those early years of the Canucks, but I also remember waiting lists to buy season tickets up to their first trip to the playoffs, against the Habs. The Canucks weren't second to the Lions at all. Management might have been bad in their first years, but, they were filling the old PC, because they were new, and most of Vancouver was still *issed off with the NHL for giving the California Golden Seals a franchise instead of our City. I bought nose bleed season tickets in Gradin's first season for a bit more than $250.

In the small sample size, I prefer Motte's game over Leipsic, who I forgot to mention.

IF, Goldobin is going to make this team, he will probably have to play lights out in at least 4 of the 5 upcoming games, if not all 5. I haven't seen the consistency in his game to warrant a spot in the NHL, but, I hope he proves me wrong. The same goes for Dahlen, Gaudette, and OJ. The guys that should be more than a bit worried, Gaunce, Gagner, Granlund, and one of Hutton and Poulliot.
-
Yeah, but by then this team could be on the cusp of something, and having that experience and all the intangibles that the Sutter name represents, he could be the difference maker. If any of these young guys do though show that they can replace or squeeze him out....OK. I'm glad we're not making the decisions, besides, we make nothing showing off our GM experience.

As well as you, I think we might be the only two that think along these lines. The only thing, Sutter is younger, and more offense in his game than Beagle, so does this make any sense at all to move Sutter?
-
Which is why I don't see the need or reason to trade Sutter, just because the Canucks picked up Beagle. Let these guys mentor the kids, Bo, Gaudette, Elias, and any other kid coming up through the ranks. Bo's game in the dot has improved immensely since his rookie season, no reason to believe that Gaudette and Elias can be similar centers, although I think the tank type centers seem to be better at it.

I hear this every day, it drives me crazy!

I say if Dahlen shows more than he does this training camp and pre season, it's Utica or ......! The better part of three seasons in this organization and all that skill that he has, but, he only drew into the lineup because of so many injuries last Spring. He did show flashes, but RC, how many more opportunities does he get?
-
Count me as a skeptic, but I think he's got training camp and pre season to prove that he's a Canuck this year, let alone two years.
-
His claim to fame in a Canuck jersey, was getting dumped into the oppositions bench during a game. Wasn't a very good hockey player at all.

Sounds like a great place to work..... for??

Canucks Top Ten prospects (Updated for 2018-2019)

I went through your list 3 times, nope, I didn't see Hughes on it! I think he gets a shot at the end of the college season. -
Cue, "Sweet Georgia Brown".....
-
Maybe! Once they see what they've got with the kids after a full year, considering all the injuries that the Canucks get in each and every year too. I think the kids, Gaudette, and Pettersson, will get NHL ice time, and lots of it. Sutter might give them a chance to move up a spot or three. Plus, by the trade deadline, I'm sure we'll see plenty of Dahlen, Palmu, Jasek, Gaunce, Motte, and Leipsic.

Everyone's pet, Juliette! Yes she did follow Esso Hockey Night in Canada. Remember those "tiger tails" that Esso handed out at their gas stations, way back when a gallon of regular cost 24.2 cents, extra was 26.2. Ward Cornell and the Hot Stove League, Foster Hewitt TML and Danny Gallivan Montreal, doing play-by-play, good times! Rassling was usually on Saturday noon and was broadcast live at one time by the studios in Lake City, Burnaby. -

For those interested, check out “Firebrand on ice”, a short documentary of Mikita’s life, and being interviewed by Walter Cronkite. 1964 if you are wondering. -

Those Habs vs Leafs games were epics. Then they started to realize that the Hawks with Hull and Mikita were attractions too. Most families ate dinner with those old TV trays perched in front of them while sitting on the couch. You had to get up and turn the volume up or down on the TV, or in our case give the rabbit ears a little adjustment if the screen got fuzzy, which it always did.
