I always thought the test pattern was the Blackhawks home channel when I was an 8 year old kid on the prairies. -

He had to because of his size, I think. However, I do recall him saying, you can't produce in the penalty box. -

In the early part of his career, he was anything but a Lady Byng candidate. Check out his early PIM's. One of the best Hawks to ever play the game, and was tough as nails, despite his size. -
I think it was the NJD's that started that nonsense, soon all teams played it.

By the time the Canuck games were over, the lights in Toronto and New York were out.
-
Really? In their prime, their play was pretty damn exciting, I don't know what you were watching. They were never the quickest, but they always knew were each other were on the ice.
-
I'd switch those two, Leipsic isn't guaranteed anything. He'll have to show a whole lot to prove he's an NHL'er.

The kid is special. Hopefully the Caps sign some players with Davies gift to them. Not just warm bodies, players that make a difference.

He was one of those kids that I really noticed in the blue/white game in the Canuck Development camp. You have to hand it to the Canuck scouting, they seem to be finding some real gems in the draft. Great insight on this kid and his young life.

He'll be a fan favourite for years.....CDC, be patient -
15k with the team on the field currently. Brayley is going be giving this team away for a dime on the dollar. I've never seen a team so unprepared as they are this season.

Humboldt Broncos Involved in Bus Crash

As painful as this is to the families of all involved, I'm glad the RCMP and their investigative team took their time to lay charges. Changes, or at least tougher regulations have to be put in place in the trucking industry. Many of these drivers barely make minimum wages considering the hours per day they work, legally that is. As big as the industry is in this Country and how much money is at stake shipping goods and commodities. Many are poorly trained, perhaps illegally trained and certified. When I see 18 wheelers thundering down the Hwy, with the driver on his cell and holding a cup of coffee, sadly more tragic events like this will happen. My Dad drove logging trucks for years in the bush and on the highways in the Southern Interior. He taught several younger guys how to drive logging truck. That's something a driving school wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole. The only thing they'd require is an air ticket. I don't know how many times he'd come home saying how unprepared some of the Freight Truck drivers were. Going over the Hope/Princeton with no chains in the middle of October, cooling the brakes with water in the middle of winter, just to name a few. -

There is a definite bonding happening with DiPietro and Hughes as well. They've been hamming it up throughout the camp -
I thought he spent an extra year in NCAA?!?

Speaking of which, I almost opened that bottle of Grand Mariner more than once last night watching that feed. Very frustrating, then I realized you should always watch vid feeds on a smaller screen, which helped. Too bad, but the Canucks did notify us all with updates and apologies. I've never heard Brendan Batchelor do play by play before, he's not bad, better than the guy previous to him on TSN1040. -

Just a question, is he Mc or Mac? There were two Masters in the game last night. The guy on the white team looked pretty skilled. -
The thing I noticed about Rathbone, is his body size. He's got the NHL body, now he needs to develop that body for the NHL game. I posted a few names in Tyler Madden's thread, and completely forgot about Rathbone. He definitely stood out last night, skating, positional play, good IQ, passing skills, he's close to the show.

I'm going out on a limb, we've got another gem with this kid. Two years of development, I'm guessing. In that scrimmage last night, Palmu, Lind, Woo, McMaster, Hughes, and DiPietro were noticeable, as was Madden. Honorable mention Gunnarsson.

Trading Sutter would mean that Bo would end up eating pk minutes. I'd rather Bo stays intact with Boeser and whomever.

I've got that allen wrench

Add Riley Nash to that list too. This Schaller kid sure will stick up for his team mates, add in Roussel, and Beagle, the Canucks shouldn't be pushed around too much, knowing that Gudbranson is not the only tough guy on the roster.
