I don’t believe Stecher has a speed advantage over Tanev, he (Tanev) might be the fastest dman, on the team.

By February, do you mean when the Canucks were a mash unit? They were the Comets!
-
But, we’re getting Dahlin! Nothing wrong with two pp specialists.....
-
Thanks Sid!

Oscar Moller, is he a former Oiler draft pick?
-
He’s a very humble kid! With a beast mode capability.

The media in Vancouver we’re excited about Jere Gillis and Hanlon, but not anything close to Linden and the twins. That might have been Big Al Davidson, as he hyped every first rounder back in the day. I kinda remember Bure excitement heating up when they got him out of Mother Russia, and having him in LA before he got his visa, etc. I don’t think the media knew anything about Bure until he played that first game against Winnipeg. At least, how damn good he was!

About 5 years ago, a bunch of us went to a Linksoping vs Brynas (sp). It wasn’t soft hockey at all, very chippy, but no fights broke out. I asked some kids if they fought in the SEL, they didn’t understand or didn’t want too. Funny thing was was son’s father in law is as Swedish as they get.

Jason Kenney has to be in favour of this too? If not, I think Notley has him backed into a corner as well.

As much as I agree with what you’re saying, I would back off with expectations regarding the twins moving forward. They would be excellent mentors to all the Euros, and having gone the same route that these prospects are going through, I think it would undermine the minor league coaches in Utica, that are doing a fabulous job as well. If all of these kids in the system had the twins as training partners, you would think that other former Canucks would have trained with them in Sweden in the past. I do think though that somehow the twins will be involved in some capacity with these kids. They couldn’t persuade Kassian to become his mentor it seemed, but this new era off kids might be willing for the chance to learn from them. However, they want to run a marathon, lol!

Alflives, leave those nets alone! The shooters are better, the goalies are better.

...and a goofy captain of said vessel!

Yet the pro pipeline folks keep bringing up the sewage going into the harbour off Victoria. Tell me again, what’s that crap the farmers and ranchers spread on the fields, that eventually end up on our tables? The Exxon Valdez is still an ongoing process, and l’m more concerned about human error than anything else, because, I’ve yet to see any proof of a world class response to this issue.

Don’t you farmers spread $&!# on your fields, to grow your crops, lol!

OJ, played in the OHL, I’m sure he has worked on smaller ice surfaces! If anything, he had to re-adapt to a larger rink.

Cue the "he's a bust" comments......

...and Tanev isn't slow by any means.

The future is on its way!

I'm pretty sure Gradin and Lindgren pushed JB in his direction. The most interesting comment from Gradin was very early in the season when he said that both EP and Jonny Dahlen were ready to play in the NHL.

Not for the first two games he didn't. It was dump and chase into Chara's corner. They turned him into a turnover machine. Then the rules changed in Bawston.
-
I agree, Rollieo's lineup looks like the Coilers lineup, 4 or 5 years ago. We all know how well that turned out.

Winnipeg could be a darkhorse this season. They've got size, speed, toughness, and are suited to grind it out, or speed in the playoffs. The only thing they lack is playoff experience. In his prime the Canucks exposed Chara by getting in on the forecheck on his side of the ice.

Agree, Motte and Leipsic have played one game with this team....I'll go with adrenaline until they play at least 15 games or end out the season like last night.
