  1. I have a lot of recorder games in and around the 94 era. For that reason the memories have stayed more fresh. I'm a bigger fan of Ronning because of that. I don't find myself watching a lot of games from the dark times haha
  2. Fair points! He was a hell of a player. I feel like I remember him scoring five hole all the time. I'm surprised at how high Ronning is on that list.
  3. Someone sell me on Mogilny! I thought he only had a couple of good seasons for us and then largely coasted around the rest of the time. I was admittedly much younger at the time. Or are we basing this off of those couple of seasons? (Which is fair as they were killer seasons)
  4. I vote Alex Burrows! Ryan Kesler was the better player but Alex Burrows was the greater Canuck! Nominate Ed Jovanovski! He was the heart of this team! Provided us with offence, physicality, leadership and energy. 3 time all-star during his time with us. Oh yeah and he has a gold medal eh!? He obtained that medal during his time in Vancouver as well.
  5. I think many that are voting for Burr and Kesler are not fully aware of what Richard Brodeur was for our team. It was just so long ago, while Burrows and Kesler have many epic memories more fresh in our minds. If we do this list in another 10 - 20 years the same thing will likely happen to the 94 team. I wouldn't be surprised to see Kirk McLean further down the list in 10 years with guys like Burrows and Bieksa ahead of him. It's just how it goes.
  6. Voting for Richard Brodeur! All due respect to the beloved players on the list but none of them were as important to the team as King Richard! Nominate Dennis Kearns.
  7. Vote Ohlund Nominate Kearns! (I feel like a bunch of you don't even know who he is. *sigh* oh well)
  8. This one was hard for me but I'll go with the pack and vote Edler. Nominate Kearns!
  9. Personally I would put Dennis Kearns over Bieksa as well.
  10. LE and Beagle for me. I actually like Beagle but I believe he's a few years older than the others. There's s good chance that his game drops right off.
  11. Vote Kirk McLean Nominate Lumme All 94 vote and nom!!
  12. You make some great points! I love me some Captain Kirk! You haven't convinced me though. I still gotta go with Luongo. I don't think Vancouver has ever had a goaltender like him. That's not a knock against Kirk though! Just a compliment to Roberto.
  13. Vote Roberto Luongo! Google the canucks goaltending records that he holds! (There's too many for me to bother typing them out on my phone lol) Nominate Jyrki Lumme
  14. Voting for Roberto Luongo Nominating Brendan Morrison
  15. I'm voting for Roberto Luongo. Nominating Brendan Morrison
  16. I voted Bure! I would nominate Ryan Kesler
  17. Ah I see In that case I would nominate Brendan Morrison
  18. I vote Bure and nominate Roberto Luongo Edit: Honorable mention to Kyle Wellwood
  19. I clicked on this thread JUST to see if anyone remembered or mentioned Juraj Simek haha Good memory!
  20. Born and raised right here! I have been a Canuck fan longer than I can remember (literally) There are videos of me pretending to be Trevor Linden in which I was too young to remember it. I know all too well what it would mean to this city if we were to win. That's what I want more than anything. I love it when we come together as a city!
  21. Oh here we go again with the 1040 hate lol. Almost everyone at 1040 comes across as more reasonable than the folks criticizing them. Do I agree with them all the time? No but should that be required? Y'all are weird sometimes.
  22. I can't vote Hughes in this because I spent months reading CDC posters tell me that he was basically the next Paul Coffey. So Hughes is exactly as advertised haha. Miller is great but I had no expectations one way or another. People just didn't seem to know enough about him. My vote goes to Gaudette! The guy has been fantastic and almost nobody saw it coming!
  23. I have so many awesome Linden memories but here's the thing. Linden became great when it was all on the line in the playoffs. His game elevated at big moments. It was noticeable because Trevor didn't always play that way. Be careful that you are not comparing your memories of Linden at his best to Horvat in the middle of November lol.
