  1. Benning was quoted as saying that if there was no expansion draft this year he wouldn't of moved Hansen at TDL:picard:

C'mon, this team needs to rebuild and stop clinging to the scraps of the glory days.

Hansen is not a scrap. He is an excellent middle six forward with speed and grit, and has enough hockey sense to play with some of the games greatest playmakers and minds. He has value on any team, contending or rebuilding.

Hansen, Burrows Tanev, Edler, etc. are all pieces that needed or need to be moved in order to get this franchise in the right direction.  Hanging on to them just to be a bubble team is not going to help is franchise.  That's what I meant about clinging to scraps, they are all good players but on a rebuilding team they don't fit.

Benning saying he wouldn't of moved Hansen if there was no expansion draft concerns me.

  2. Saw this as well. Kind of a depressing watch but interesting nonetheless 7/10 Pearl Harbour: The Accused 8/10 - I love war docs. This one looks at who was really to blame for the Pearl Harbour attacks, not surprising they blamed the wrong guy.
  3. I'm 37yo and never been on a plane. Been having plane crashing dreams since I was a teen. I would need to be drugged a la B.A. Baracus from the A-Team to get on a flight lol.
  4. How do you milk sheep? Genie: What's your first wish? Dave: I wish I was rich. Genie: Granted, what's your second wish? Rich: I want lots of money.
  5. There seems to be a Berry Burst Vector Bar shortage in White Rock/S. Surrey that needs to be rectified post haste.  I have the hunger.

  6. I'll take yours with a pinch of sugar and 2tsp of pepper. Ha, yeah I am not exactly Roger Ebert here.
  7. "I went to a few concerts when I was your age. I'd get backstage all the time. Of course back then, you really had to work for it not like today with all these sissy radio giveaways. "Oh, you're caller 96. Bravo!" Let's see you it that whole phone in your mouth, then you might have been able to hang with my crew."

Saw Marc Crawford backstage at a concert once (will post a pic later).   He was at ... get this .... Avril Lavigne.  We both had our daughters there and had a "what the hell am I doing here?" moment together.  The things we do for our kids.

I'd love to see that picture too :D

  8. The Wizard of Lies(2017) 8 / 10 I normally detest movies over 2hrs but this docudrama packs a lot of info about Bernie Madoff and his shady dealings.
  9. Thoughts on exposing Sutter instead of Gaunce? I've seen a couple of mock x-pac drafts from the media going this route.

I remembered back in the cup run days fans jumped onto the Florida Panthers board because CDC was just so damn busy.  Is it a little sad that I stopped by there to see if anyone tried it this time?

  11. Good thing it wasn't bed bugs, those are a really pain to deal with for what I've heard. I always thought carpet beetle's were lyme ticks that give lyme disease so I always freaked out when I saw them trotting around our building. Luckily I put hardwood floors 2 years ago to cut down on the insects. Hope everything works out.
  12. Well it's on now!! *Launches Nuclear Missle
  13. I challenge you to a duel!

Nice to update the laws to allow us to duel again and practice witchcraft and sorcery.

  14. Yeah it's nasty. We had a silverfish problem a few years ago and boy those things can move! At least I got that taken of, however they're still rampant in our sauna room downstairs.
  15. "Let's discuss team toughness." "What team toughness?" "Good point." Man not only is this team softer than butter on a sponge, they're also no threat on the PP allowing teams to take liberties with our better players and our youth. Hopefully a healthy Dorsett and Gudbranson will change that next year because the only guys that stood up for our players were Hansen(traded) and Sbisa(most likely plucked in x-pac draft)
  16. Yeah I cannot wait either. Not as excited as I was for GTA V but as more info comes along that could change. GTA, RDR, and Elder Scrolls are the only games I would dump super models for(ok maybe not but you get the idea). I waited in line for the midnight release of GTAV, my cheeks were hurting from the constant grinning as I played it for the first time. I expect the same for RDR2.
  17. Time for some Retro Movie reviews The Great Outdoors(1988) 8/10 Classic summertime movie the whole family can enjoy together. It was on tv on Sunday(its probably on Netflix) and it was nice to reminisce while I was watching one of my favorite movies as a kid(was 9yo when this came out). I even laughed at some of the jokes I didn't get when I was a kid like "Go find yourself a spin cycle". It has the late great John Candy and fellow Canadian Dan Aykroyd.
  18. By Kyle Sledge | Jun 5, 2017 As is now annual tradition in the days leading up to E3, a plethora of leaks have been making their rounds online, with a recent bit of hearsay coming from a supposed Rockstar Games insider revealing information on 4chan’s /v/ boards about Red Dead Redemption 2‘s story and gameplay. Should the details provided by the leaker be believed, then the forthcoming western sequel is set to star none other than Jack Marston, the son of the prior entry’s protagonist, John Marston. When it comes to the narrative revolving around the potential protagonist, the Red Dead Redemption 2 leaker said that the game takes place roughly three years after the previous installment, with Jack attempting to put together “some things he finds in his father’s journal after he dies.” In order to do so, Jack seeks out a few of John’s old friends who go on to teach him some secrets related to his pop’s past. Furthermore, the purported Rockstar employee went on to say that Red Dead Redemption 2 features a lot of different flashback scenes, such as the one from the reveal trailer involving Dutch’s Gang. Interestingly enough, some of Dutch’s Gang may actually be playable figures in some capacity during the aforementioned flashbacks, which could lend credence to the speculation that the title involves multiple characters that can be controlled by fans during the game. As far as the leaker’s statements on the overall gameplay in Red Dead Redemption 2 is concerned, there are at minimum two mighty sizeable towns for players to explore, and there are apparently a lot of “little places scattered” all throughout the sequel’s map, which is possibly bigger than Grand Theft Auto 5‘s. Apparently, there will be plenty to occupy fans’ time in the upcoming game, as an unspecified amount of features from the previous entry are being brought back. Plus, RDR 2 will supposedly feature heists, allowing players to rob banks, trains, and saloons, while also letting them kidnap people and hold them for ransom. When it comes to the prospective multiplayer components in Red Dead Redemption 2, the leaker suggested that it’s “very economy driven” with players being able to trade and sell items to each other. Eventually, options like outfitting the back of wagons with Gatling Guns will come into play, too, alongside a selection of different types of exotic mounts like zebras and buffalo. Not to mention, the online portion of the title could feature a selection “5 or 6 different gangs,” with there being separate clubs for anyone to join that involve fishing in boats, strategic hunting of animals with different stats, horse racing, and gambling in a “huge casino.” All things considered, with there being no actual way for this information to be verified, it should be said that Red Dead Redemption 2 fans ought to take this leak with a huge grain of salt. However, it’s worth noting that the person sharing these details on 4chan’s /v/ forum has actually leaked several bits of Grand Theft Auto news and deals in the past that turned out to be true, so this bit of scuttlebutt could as well. Additionally, the post came with a legitimate picture of Rockstar headquarters, indicating their status as an employee, so here’s to hoping that the leaker’s last suggestion of RDR 2 being at E3 2017 is true. Red Dead Redemption 2 is officially in production with a release date of spring 2018 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. https://gamerant.com/red-dead-redemption-2-main-character-jack-marston-rumor/undefined Trailer can be found here: https://www.rockstargames.com/reddeadredemption2/ Sorry I cannot post vids currently Anyone excited about this game? I was too late to the show for RDR1 though I did play it a bit. Sucks it got delayed but it's better to get all the bugs out now.
  19. Come to Rogers Library and I'll start that chant for ya you flake.
  20. I watched John Wick, it was well shot with kind of a video game approach to it. I remembered watching a slough of movies and shows with GoT characters in it and this was one of them with Theon Nod1ck. I'd give it an 8/10, it kept me entertain. I'll keep an eye out for when the sequel hits moviecentral.
  21. Blue is the Warmest Color(Netflix - NC-18) - 15/10 On a date and this was my payback for her flick I had to endured. Ran(1985) - 9/10 Japanese film from 1985. Game of Thorns fans who remember how the battle of the bastards was shot, will it was inspired by this film. Now it was made in 1985 so the technology and battle scenes are obviously dated but a great film nonetheless, as longs as you have captions or know Japanese lol.
  22. This is by far the most depressing thread in the history of internet forums.

It's not that he's washed up. The reality is unless he trains like Jagr in the off season age catches up with us all.

To give up youth and a boatload of prospects can be done only by teams that have lots of depth.

I just don't see any team making a deal that would work to get him.

  25. Couldn't of happen to a more entitled douche. Honestly when is the media going to remove their collective nose from his ass? He's done, he's career is over. He's a prick, a moron, and slowly becoming a lost cause. $750million dollars can buy you a fleet of drivers to drive your sorry ass around town while you stick your putter in some gold digger's sand bunker(no matter how small it is).
