  1. I heard his ads for a year before I actually saw what he looks like, pretty much exactly who I envisioned minus a tail, pitchfork and a ring of fire. The seediest looking mofo out there.
  2. They knew this was coming, which is why you saw a Diamond & Diamond ad on every commercial break during a Canuck game this past year. Maybe Zuckerman can get into coaching - his philosphy is sound. "My advice, score a goal before the opposition does."
  3. PP should find a way to score tonight, Minny's PK sucks
  4. China Virus, that's so racist!!!! https://www.citynews1130.com/2020/02/06/bc-newspaper-novel-coronavirus-headline/ 285 people are talking about this The story has since been amended online but not before the damage was done, insulting and upsetting many people around the region. Since the outbreak of the novel coronavirus, which is believed to have started in Wuhan, China, incidents reflecting anti-Chinese sentiment have been reported across the country. “There is no way that we should be treating people like this,” Hao said. “What they’re doing right now suggest that it’s OK to call it a China virus… and they’re suggesting that it’s OK to [call] names.” “In school we call it bullying but in society, what they are doing right now, they are bullying, isolating the Chinese community.” In Vancouver, China’s Consul General, Madame Tong Xiaoling, said in a statement it was “obvious racial discrimination” on the front page, calling it “extremely unprofessional.” “…Which not only counters the recommendations of the World Health Organization, but also reflects this paper’s arrogance, prejudice and discrimination,”Consul General Tong Xiaoling wrote. “This is inconsistent with the Canadian core values as ‘The Province’ has always professed, as well as journalistic ethics. We demand that ‘The Province’ immediately apologize for its mistake and stop using similar language.” WHO says names given by those who first report In 2015, the World Health Organization released a paper outlining best practices for naming new diseases, “with the aim to minimize unnecessary negative impact of disease names on trade, travel, tourism or animal welfare, and avoid causing offence to any cultural, social, national, regional, professional or ethnic groups.” The paper also said in an age of social media and rapid communications “it’s important that an appropriate name disease is assigned by those who first report a new human disease.” So far there is no official name for the virus, which is also referred to as “coronavirus”, “new coronavirus”, and “novel coronavirus” but the best practices make it clear terms like “China virus” and “Wuhan virus” can do harm. “WHO strongly encourage scientists, national authorities, the national and international media and other stakeholders to follow the best practices set out in this document when naming a human disease. If an inappropriate name is released or used or if a disease remains unnamed, WHO, the agency responsible for global public health events, may issue an interim name for the diseases and recommend its use, so that inappropriate names do not become established.”
  5. Don't get to play much sports these days but I am looking for a flag football to join in the spring. You bet that's me who caught the ball.
  6. Hopefully Tampa Bay takes them out in the playoffs, hate to see them win another cup but they're legit.
  7. Outshot 2:1, it's getting ugly now. Maybe Kyle Shanahan can be a honorary coach for the Bruins in the third.
  8. Played flag football on Sunday, I am paying the price now lol. It was fun although I was the only one without cleats so I had the agility of a rhinoceros. When the game is on the line who do you turn to? What form. VID-20200202-WA0001.mp4
  9. I love football but let's be real rugby is far more explosive - technical and strategic doesn't mean much otherwise you'd see chess matches on ESPN 8. Just because a burner WR can come on for one play and blow past a DB on a fly route doesn't make it a more explosive sport.
  10. I wouldn't do it, your losing character on this deal and that could seriously upset the balance in the locker room. If I am trading Boeser it's to upgrade the D-core.
  11. Did they show US commericals?
  12. We weren't going to get much for Miller or Hamhius, even the return for Hansen and Burrows was nominal at best. Losing Tanev for nothing is not going to set this franchise back nor are you getting a 1st or a prospect for Tanev's rights.
  13. Agreed, I'd take my chances and re-sign him when he becomes a UFA. Even if we lose him for nothing we got enough bank from the Petey/Hughes picks to not set this franchise back, plus I am confident he'll want to re-sign for a fair value.
  14. I can't blame him, if these were owners of my team I'd give up hope too. Plus, they own the Bills too, so who do you think is number one in their eyes the Sabres or the Bills? So on top of incompetence the Sabres aren't even top priority. The only thing that fixes incompetent ownership is die hard fans making a stand and not showing up to the games to a point were the owner has to sell. Lots of franchises in N. America you can look at and say they'll never win(like the Browns).
  15. Didn't watch a second of it. Woke up at 5:30am to play football, got home in time to catch the 3rd period of the Nucks game then passed out after the sauna. Sounds like it was a good game, how was Shakira?!?!? Hehe.
  16. What a deceptive shot by Hughes. Man, what a gift from the heavens. Karma for the Draft lottery. Nucks are rolling
