  1. Things are looking up at the 11th hour. Great news. Fills the void. Let's get it done and get down to business. Glad to hear JB's been busy!
  2. I can buy into Eriksson's selective use in order to be effective, which he has been when used effectively ... https://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/loui-erikssons-startling-turnaround-finally-puts-canucks-crowd-side/ "Eriksson, Horvat and Pearson have combined for six empty-net goals, indicative of how much Green trusts the trio late in games and how often the Canucks have been winning since the line was constructed. "Eriksson has four goals and nine points in the last 13 games, and six times has logged more than 15 minutes of ice time. In his first 17 games this season, he surpassed 15 minutes only once and 10 times finished in single-digit minutes." When used effectively, he can succeed. I'm all for that. Expecting him to put up 20, 30 goals ... no way.
  3. Two things ... 1. People are that stupid that no one could see it through the entire creative process or quality assurance process. Think about it ... not one person in all of BC Ferries noticed yet it only took one second for the public to notice. 2. It was calculated and done on purpose.
  4. You're the only person in this entire thread that mentioned Holtby.
  5. Well, I hated it when the conversation changed around Half Sack, and then Phil ... Oh, wait ... I thought you were talking SOA prospects.
  6. I jumped off during the protests, when they were banning mass gatherings but condoning protests. That was months ago.
  7. I still think that when Jake really enters that phase of really becoming a man and taking life more seriously, it will all come together in his game. Some guys take longer to mature mentally from young man to man. He's still only 24 and obviously finding his way in the game as a young adult. Some guys it takes longer. My guess is that when Jake reaches 26, 27 ... those years, it will really come together for him. At some point in his prime, he'll realize his NHL career window is getting shorter and will want to take more responsibility and make the most of his time. Hey, I could be wrong but this is how I think it'll play out. Hopefully it's with us and not ... you know ... Calgary.
  8. Scottish, English, & Irish Also ... Spanish, Portuguese, Syrian Yeah, so ...
  9. Schmidt's been averaging 21:41 ice time per game. He's played a lot of big minutes.
  10. Excellent! Was getting a bit concerned. JB's right, Schmidt will fit in nicely. Excited to see him in our lineup.
  11. Good signing by JB. Completely happy with this one. Also think Holtby will have a better year under Clark. That was one of the reasons he signed here, which is a sign he's not satisfied and wants to get better. That's the mindset you want. Sure going to miss Marky's level of compete and intensity. Loved that guy.
  12. Right now, as far as our D is concerned, I'm waiting for Benning to ...
  13. There's no way we could have given Tanev that term of 4 years. I'm saddened to see him go but the offer was too good for him to pass up. At the very most, we could have given him a 2-year deal. Can't fault Tanev for taking that deal at all. Also can't see him lasting the duration of that contract either. Wish him well, I just wish it wasn't Calgary.
