I would think so too but the information I have now is the Canucks had interviews with both Nylander and Ehlers. They had a long interview with Virtanen and no interview at all with Ritchie.
At first they were saying only Virtanen and Fleury were interviewed but then 2 days later it was corrected as they interviewed Nylander and Ehlers. No interview for Ritchie unless someone has new information or a source.
Its confounding to me because for my money I take Ritchie over Virtanen but i think Linden / Benning have other ideas.
Those were taken from training camp last year. Some who were specifically scouted by ISS are updated. Fabbri comes to mind. He is now 1/4 inch taller and 10 pounds heavier.
Ehlers had 104 points and Ritchie had 74 . That is not something you brush off because you are 'bigger' . That is a huge amount. No spin can make up for something like that.
Interestingly enough, Ehlers got 70% of his points without Drouin . Most of the other 30% was on the power play. That is how many points a player racks up with the extra man. More points =more $$$ . No wonder coaches hold PP time hostage for players to perform.
Also its worth mentioning that the OHL scored 6.9 goals a game, the QMJHL 6.8 and the WHL 6.6
Times have certainly changed.
Mine as well. That was one of the two concerns I had. Im onboard for Nylander at this point. He has trained hard and acts like a complete professional.
Check out this interview

You can scoll to whomever you want (except Ehlers for some reason ) Check out Nylanders.
I preferred Ehlers because he had shown his mettle in the QMJHL while Nylander was overseas. That and his purported attitude issues. I see none of that here at the combine.
Why wouldnt they? Its perfectly consistent.
I have wanted Ehlers, Nylander then Ritchie consistently . Sounds like you havent paid attention. Nylander has the highest ceiling of them all. I guess you forgot to read all those posts too.
Stop attacking other posters . At least do your homework before you do.
Thank you for the insight. I am impressed by Nylander . I am just as impressed with his interviews. I am considering taking him at #6 but other GMs are going to notice as well and the Islanders or Panthers might snag him.
Thats ok. At least we still get to pick from Draisailt or Dal Colle.
You guys think this is some kind of battle or competition. Its not. We are all Canuck fans. Regardless of whom Benning chooses we deal with it and move on.
WTF is body fit? You mean body fat? Where are you getting these stats from?
