  1. He will get 4 mil in the KHL he'd be stupid not to take it... 1 or 2 year deal wouldn't hurt that much.. make the big bucks and come back.
  2. Hahahahaha not even close. Just ridiculing a guy who said that Schneider is an ELITE goaltender.
  3. Lost an argument to a guy that thinks Cory Schneider is elite? Yeah, okay buddy.
  4. Anyone can go back a few pages and see what you actually wrote... and you think Schneider is better than Luongo? HAHAHAHAHA. The guy voted #36 on the top 40 greatest goaltenders of all time is worse than a guy who hasn't even played a full season? Wow you're delusional... LUONGO is elite... LUONGO is the best Canadian goaltender... LUONGO has proven himself to actually be able to win playoff games and keep his team in them.. Luongo is better at every facet of the game than Schneider is and you call Schneider better? Wow... I don't know what to say... This time I'm really done. Your posts are ridiculous and contradict things you've said in the past... Make up your mind and stick with it. Bye.
  5. In that series, being able to stand up for yourself would have won the series... The Canucks were a MUCH more offensively dominant and defensively dominant than Boston was... Boston CONTROLLED the flow of the game with their goonery and they knew they could get away with it as the whistles were thrown away... That was their tactic after game 2 and it damn well worked... Did the Canucks have some injuries? Sure, but they were still a good enough team to beat Boston, hence why they actually brought it to 7.... In the games Boston won, they were MANHANDLING the Canucks.. In the games the Canucks won, they found a few lucky goals and got out of it with most of their limbs in tact... The Canucks were dominated that series because of physicality.
  6. You laughed at the people who called Schneider a very good goalie. I don't think I need an exact quote... and then you say Schneider is elite? Your opinion seemed to change pretty damn fast when I had my opinion that it was a mistake not to take the better package from Edmonton.. "Oh, I don't want to face him when he's dominating on Edmonton" Or "Oh, he's definitely elite". You're Hilarious.
  7. The Canucks had NO push back that series.. During the first two games, the Bruins did NOTHING to physically manhandle the Canucks but when Rome threw the hit it "woke the bear" If they had even a little pushback and a guy who would actually stand up to 5'9 Brad Marchand, the Bruins aren't controlling the game like they did after the first 2 games.. You obviously don't understand or haven't watched the series over to find the real reason the Canucks lost it... they were intimidated and they lost because of it.
  8. LOST THE ARGUMENT? Hahahahahahahaha. Says the guy who said Schneider wasn't good a page or two back and then said he was going to dominate with the Edmonton Oilers if he went to them.... "My name's De Niro... I can patronize people and call them little kids to feel better about myself and act like the only one who knows anything about the Canucks." How long have you been watching hockey? Let me guess.... 15-20 years?? Hahaha. What a goof.
  9. It prevents teams like Boston and LA from pushing the smaller Canucks around and ultimately would have lead to a stanley cup win by the Canucks.
  10. Give me one player that actually stood up for his teammates on the Canucks not including Bieksa. Put this into perspective: Boston's WHOLE team stood up for one another.
  11. You said you don't want to watch him dominate in net with Edmonton.. you're already assuming he's going to be an elite goaltender if he's "dominating"... Luongo is the better goaltender right now so Schneider should be no excuse when the Canucks are facing Edmonton if the trade happened... You can't deny Gillis could have gotten more back with Schneider and a 2nd is definitely worth having an above average goaltender in your conference with a team that you only have to face 6 times a season.. You take the best offer available and Edmonton's was likely their first and either a Klefbom or their second... I would not be against what Gillis got back if he took a Nichushkin or Domi and took a bit of a risk with a high calibre offensive player but a 3rd liner who may be a bust is not worth a young goaltender like Schneider... you have to get more back no excuses no matter what the future is looking like.
  12. So it's excusable to completely ignore that you need grit going into the playoffs? The Canucks had NO grit.. The lineup was softer than Montreal's going into the playoffs...
  13. kiwis... I was talking about standing up for teammates not their overall play if you actually took the time to read a few sentences
  14. trying to get your up votes? I guess patronizing other posters for an opinion that differs from yours is your only way to have an argument because you have nothing better to counter me on... you're useless
  15. Oh wow, some teams that win the cup have a good enough team to, totally surprising! The 2010/2011 team wasn't good enough to win a cup against a team like Boston... Boston found the achillies heel which is playing physical against the Canucks and nobody stepped up for their teammates... Oreskovich? Useless. Glass? Useless. Torres? Useless.... none of the "big" players the Canucks had did ANYTHING. You go and get a guy that will stand up for his f*cking players. That was the Canucks only problem in that series... if say Tampa won against Boston in the ECF, the Canucks would have probably sweeped the Lightning but the Canucks are way to soft to play that kind of hockey and Boston played their game...
  16. Yakupov was the 1st overall pick you don't think Gillis would take Yakupov straight up?????? I'd trade Schneider for Yakupov any day. the 7th overall and a high second is more than enough and Gillis takes the lesser package because Edmonton is in the division....... Oh no... we have to face Schneider 6 times in the season... so unbeatable..
  17. Where's your proof he would? what if he picked up the 7th and flipped the 7th and a 2nd round pick for the 6th and taken Monahan? He's a much better option than Bo f*cking Horvat no offense to Bo but Monahan has 1st liner potential where Bo is a 2nd line potential.. Monahan (1st/2nd liner) for Schneider is looking much better than a guy who's likely going to be a very good 3rd liner.
  18. Gillis has always been a wuss. He always makes the "safe" pick no matter what happens. He always plays it "safe". that's why this team doesn't have a cup. He's never went all in at the deadline.. he picks up one player that's either A: undersized, B: not as good as he used to be or C: A guy that doesn't perform in the playoffs. He's never went "all in" on the trade deadline. The Canucks would have a cup in 2010/11 if he gave up some prospects and picks for big mofos (Brendan Morrows, Otts) or players that can put the puck in the net. Do you think Boston would manhandle the Canucks if he did? not a chance. He is the definition of a wuss GM.
  19. Why do you think Edmonton looked puzzled when the Canucks made the trade? because they offered more. I don't care if the 1st + prospect + 2nd didn't happen they offered a higher pick + and Gillis was too afraid to trade within the division. And this is hockey, not fight club you goof. Why would anyone be afraid of a businessman? You're delusional
  20. Schneider will not command 6 million. you're dreaming. He has yet to even play a full season and he'll get 6 million? Gillis could have taken the Edmonton offer and gotten a higher pick at #7 and taken Nurse or Ristolainen plus most likely a second or one of their prospects like Klefbom etc. Gillis is a wuss for not making that trade. stupid stupid stupid. Lou Lamorello robbed him blind.
