  1. Due to the advent of social media. The average person isn't really very discerning in their search for the truth anymore. If something confirms what they already feel (rather than know), they go with it. Hell, quite a few "fact-checking" websites, if you dig deep enough into them, are biased. The truth is out there, but finding it is near impossible.
  2. I think since he's joined the radio show, he's improved. I get where you're coming from though. He started off really well, just providing the facts via his Twit account, but then slowly became another speculative donkey.
  3. I agree, wholeheartedly. That however needs to be a decision made by the organization. Sports journalism has been sensationalistic for sometime now. Add in the fact that Vancouver is a smaller city with very little legit pro sports, and the media will become myopic in focus and turn into a bunch of jackals fighting over the few scraps that are left after the radio shows and newspaper writers push their stuff through.
  4. Journalistic integrity has suffered under the advent of social media. Now that the average human attention span is measured in seconds instead of minutes, the proliferation of quick news bites (that don't have to necessarily be completely vetted) has made the provision of information all about speed instead of accuracy.
  5. While Benning had clearly worn out his welcome as GM, I would have been fine with him staying on as a scout. Highly doubt someone who was both a GM and a AGM would want to take such a demotion though.
  6. Will be nice to see what the Breeze can do under Shaw. Bumgardener's systems (if he had any) were like venom to a player's development.
  7. I'm surprised that Iain was able to find the strength to tweet since Gear and Wall were canned. One day at a time, IHack.
  8. That looks to be a salmon shark. Or based on the tail, maybe a thresher shark. Definitely not a great white shark.
  9. Back ups were only kryptonite under Travisty. Bruce should be able to get the team to ventilate Hill.
  10. Some folks like to get ahead of things. I agree with your sentiment.
