  1. He's shown the resilience to score goals that may turn the tide of a game. I've seen Bo put the team on his back. He may not be walloping guys left, right, and center, but he still stood toe to toe with Nurse, Accari, Coyle, and didn't look out of place or outmatched (ala Edler being attacked by Simmonds). One of the best and most consistent faceoff men in the league.
  2. Already destroying records left, right and center on this team, and consistently brings it. Makes his defensive partner better. Outside of Demko and Horvat, if anyone is a foundational player, it's Hughes.
  3. Quinn is a dude. Huge amount of respect for him for playing so well regardless of how the rest of the team is doing, and for giving well deserved props to Schenn.
  4. Patterson got upset because the things Epp said cut a little to close to home for him. Same with clowns like Sekeres and Price. Twitter clowns like Drance, Wagner, Sas and others were equally vexed because it exposed them for the clowns they are. The types mentioned above always coat their "analysis" in conjecture and heresay, with Sekeres being a fabricator of outright lies. Certainly the team, coaching, and management are ripe for being criticized. There is no doubt about that. However, the way some of the media go about their criticism has more to do with their need for traffic to their site, and has nothing to do with actually reporting on the team. Reporters like Kuzma and MacIntyre actually publish well written articles that still levy deserved criticism on the organization without being petty and self-centered about it. This isn't really surprising though considering how small the Vancouver media is in comparison to other actual major cities, of which Vancouver is not. When a city only has one major sports team of note, and a smaller population, this myopic approach is the outcome.
  5. I have to say that I love the way the Flames are built and how they're coached. It's going to make make them a nightmare to deal with in the playoffs.
  6. Makes sense, yet I still wonder if maybe there's a limit to how long it's sensible to keep someone at the helm. Is there a time when you just have to say goodbye?
  7. I just realized that David Poile is still the GM of the Predators, and he started in........1998. Holy (expletive deleted), that's 23 years, and they've made it to the Finals once in that time?! He's also the PHO too.
  8. That's been the rumor. Supposedly the Aquilini family (not just Francesco) has brought in an outside advisor who's worked with other major league sports teams (my apologies to whom initially mentioned this) to determine the best course of action for the team going forward. As well, there may be a switch of Aquilini at the helm of the team from Francesco to Roberto. It would make sense to put a freeze on any major moves right now, until things are figured out.
  9. If you were shelling out billions of dollars, I'd hope you'd get some spelling lessons.
