  1. Same here. I could somewhat understand players being hesitant if Chara, Lucic, McQuaid and those other beasts were still on the team....but what Bruin is a major deterrent like those guys these days? Coyle? Carlo? I seem to remember Horvat going toe to toe against Coyle and coming out on top. Good point about OEL. He's stood up for teammates numerous times in this young, hideous season, yet no one sent Shartface a message. Such a pathetic state of affairs. Truly embarrassing.
  2. Miller, Horvat, Myers, Schenn, Dickinson...plenty of players with the size and capability to seriously physically punish that rat. Yet.....
  3. I used to pass it off as fiction too, but the way the players, for the most part, look to avoid conflict is becoming obvious. As well, look at how Green let MacEwen and Gadjovich get waived and then taken. Another reason to give him the pink slip.
  4. Who knows? Myers maybe? He seemed to do a great job with Duncan Keith earlier in the season. As well, if Myers did get suspended for 5 games, it would highlight the deplorable state of the DOPS for all to see.
  5. And when the teams meet again, and this deplorable turd of a human being does the same crap again, will a Canucks player lay him out and exact revenge? Or is Green's influence on how the team answers the bell still strong enough that they'll turn tail?
  6. Interesting. I wonder if Benning is essentially a lame duck GM now.
  7. Where'd you hear that they're brought in outside consultants?
  8. Maybe that's what needs to happen. Losing playoff revenue, and a fair chunk of seasons ticket holders would certainly eat into the Aquilinis coffers. Maybe then they'll act. Or maybe not. Seems like the Aquilinis have a reputation around the league.
  9. Sekeres should really go for his true calling, writing soap operas. He's so full of (expletive deleted) that his breath is taking on the scent.
  10. I understand that. I just haven't heard much about Gear.
  11. Yes, yes, and yes. Is he any good? This makes sense. Keep the coaching staff that has actual NHL experience. Exactly.
  12. I'd be fine with the Canucks trading for Kane. If Evander has any self-awareness, he must know that his career is teetering on the brink. He'd be wise to take stock of that and right the ship.
  13. I don't think at this point they'd be rushing it. I think Aquilni is a creature of habit and may go the same route he has before and hire a GM and/or coach with little to no NHL experience. Possibly putting both Sedins in as GM, and hiring Trent Cull. Do the fans really want blood, or do they maybe, juuuust maybe, not want to watch a middling, perimeter team go through the motions anymore?
  14. Some fans are done. Some are going to show up at home games in paper bags and boo the team. The next home game should be a doozy. A well earned doozy.
  15. He's such a loathsome reporter. Always looking for the gossip instead of the facts. Why anyone would want to pay to read his drivel is beyond me. You made the right choice.
  16. Seeing how quickly Montreal moved to sort through their issues just makes the situation Vancouver is in all the more pathetic. What is the braintrust waiting for? It seems as though they want to lose fan support because they can't make up their minds, meanwhile another solid hockey mind is scooped up by a team willing to make the hard decisions.
  17. Slower and even less physical than they already are now? Sounds like a great plan.
