  1. Wise choice. The draw of the city seems to call to some, but having space and land that you can actually use is more my thing versus living in an apartment the size of a closet. Well put. I find far too many people have a hard time living within their means because they feel pressure from sources outside of their control to buy and have things for no apparent reason. While I fully believe everyone is accountable for their actions, I think that quite a few of the masses fall for the new hyper pressurized advertising and news. Being of a certain age, I remember when advertising was more about offering people a product and making it interesting. Now, that same product isn't offered as much as it's insinuated that it's something "you've been waiting for" or "you need". Even news stories are following suit. Today CNN published a story with the headline "You'll never believe what Donald Trump just said about 9/11". Now, I'm no Dumbpf fan by any stretch of the imagination, but it's somewhat insidious for a news outlet to assume and outright state what the average person can or can't believe. Wow. That got away from me. Anyways, I think there are a lot of people out there who are very susceptible to that kind of hard sell approach, and are given all kinds of credit to blow on things, and don't know how to, or see the value of living within one's means, and how that kind of discipline is truly a lost art.
  2. The general public won't be given all aspects of the manhunt. I don't think we're getting anywhere close to all the information. Neither should we.
  3. Very few players are elite in the NHL. Tanev is highly respected by other players in the league however. I remember when asked who the unsung hero was the year that he was a member of Team Canada at the Worlds, three players stated that Chris Tanev was. The names of those scrubs? Brendan Gallagher, Mark Stone, and Connor McDavid.
  4. I think I've seen a couple of episodes. And neither or those episodes were through wilderness with black flies and massive hungry mosquitoes. Not to mention half ton (some full ton) fully carnivorous polar bears.
  5. Too bad Benning wasn't able to fleece Fenton with a Greenway for Biega trade.
  6. Supposedly they looked into survivalist information for quite some time, but reading up on it is a lot different than living it, I agree. I don't think they'll last too long in that wilderness, if they do decide to go on foot through the forest of Manitoba.
  7. They, or pieces of them, might also already be in the stomachs of polar or grizzly bears.
  8. Exactly. A massive country that people can literally disappear into, which these two seemingly have done.
  9. A: I don't think so, considering he could have kept the fact that he stopped the vehicle to himself, really. B: Possibly. Most likely situation. C: If there looking to head into the wilderness of northern Manitoba, being unarmed, especially around large predators would be a bad idea.
  10. According to the officer, all that was in the vehicle were maps, survival gear, and the two of them. He didn't see any weapons.
  11. If he isn't (and doesn't approve of a trade) traded before training, it'll be interesting to see how the situation plays out.
  12. Nerds..hahahaha. I think the misinformation (which is very rampant these days) is also spreading like wildfire. As of today, they've been spotted in Amherst, Nova Scotia....
  13. I wonder if Francesco has talked to Vito about talking to Loui?
  14. Can afford a house where? And define a good job. There are a lot of people who have good jobs and work hard, yet can't afford the cost of a home in Vancouver.
  15. Benning could have convinced Callahan to play again. Pfftttt. Could have traded for Hossa too. This GM is killing my team!!!!!!
  16. The RCMP officer who stopped the two wasn't armed and had no vest, so while it's unfortunate that he wasn't able to apprehend the two, he might have been their fourth victim had he tried. Not sure why the RCMP has some officers out there without weapons though.
  17. Why did Benning give up a first round pick for Miller when he could have had Callahan for a goalie and pickz!!!!!???
