  1. Schenn was a warrior for the team when he was here. I hope he does well.
  2. You're right. What you're alluding to is just that.....total BS. Glad you finally had that epiphany.
  3. TSN is prepping a four hour documentary on Schmaltz and his road to the Cup. Riveting stuff.
  4. I think it goes back to a parent wanting to think the best of their child. I can't begin to fathom what this man is going through right now.
  5. People/fans choose to interpret what he says based on their own biases and opinions. Benning has no control over that. People are responsible for their actions, statements, and the outcomes of both, not Benning. To lay that responsibility on him is ridiculous and merely scapegoating.
  6. How Benning operates as a general manager has little to no bearing as to how people post and react on an online forum. To try to correlate the two is elementary and reductive.
  7. He didn't steal your girlfriend, she left on her own accord.
  8. Edler has always had a positive effect on all of his linemates. When Gudbranson was a Canuck, his best output was always with Edler. I can see Myers, who's considerably better than Gudbranson in most areas of the game, besides physicality, playing well and feeding off of Edler's knowledge.
  9. Not very. Had a couple of beers. I'm not a huge fan of heading into remote wilderness and dulling my senses anymore.
  10. Same. I've heard sounds twice. Once on the north end of Harrison Lake near what was a makeshift landing strip, and the other on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington. The one at Harrison occurred at around 3 am, and started within the frequency of a human voice and slowly ascended about two octaves over a minute and a half. It sounded like it was coming from across the lake. The second was at a cabin on the west side of the Peninsula, where I heard what sounded like primate clicks and hooting between 4-5 different areas around the 20 acre property simultaneously. Essentially some sort of communication. This occurred around 2 am.
  11. Call me crazy, but that's what I believe I heard.
  12. Here's a good place to start: Same. There is something about the vastness of the wilderness we live in that's both awe-inspiring and intensely eerie. Especially considering how unbelievably dense some of the woods are in the Pacific Northwest. I've heard some blood-chilling sounds in the dead of night in the woods that I couldn't quite attribute to an animal that is a habitant. I'm well versed with the array of sounds red foxes make, and how close an elk's cry is to the scream of a human, but these sounds were neither.
  13. Not in a very long time. The next time I'm in the area I will. Appreciated peaches5.
  14. Interesting. Thanks Lancaster. I've heard some f'ed up things that people share on Reddit regarding being in the wilderness and running into or witnessing some crazy shizzle.
  15. Those people are commonly known as delusional Canadiens fans.
  16. I believe you, riff. I've always been pretty guarded, and when I took my family on a trip from Vancouver to Toronto, we had to make pit stops in small towns and rest stops along the way. I always felt that there was a very transient vibe to those areas, which got my hackles up. Initially I thought I was being too ultra vigilant. I'm glad I trusted my instinct in retrospect.
