  1. This is insane. Hearing so many people here on CDC talk about how creepy things are up north is news to me, especially @peaches5 talking about not staying or sleeping at rest stops. What are things coming to?
  2. I tell you something 189, I’m looking forward to seeing this team gel during the season. The pack mentality will be something to behold.
  3. Engelland wasn’t going to end up anywhere else. A Vegas resident who’s been the team’s leader without the C.
  4. Exactly. Hate, by definition, is not what’s going on here. Mass disappointment, sure. Hate is reserved for the likes of Brad Marchand.
  5. I’m not sure if you’ve noticed, but people have felt free. Eriksson’s contract hasn’t really provided a whole lot of positive value in the time he’s been here. To try to spin it to see solely positive value, while commendable, is merely an exercise is tiptoeing past his clear deficiencies. His penalty killing was decent but the team on a whole was quite solid in that department. In the end though, this breaks down to Eriksson not being a player worthy of his contract.
  6. What hate is actually defined as versus what people are actually able to take is night and day.
  7. Well if someone sees zero value in a player, they see zero value in a player. If they say “I hope Loui Eriksson never plays hockey again and dies a miserable death”, that’s hate. An all consuming emotion reaction that is laser focused on its subject. Personally, I don’t know Eriksson, so I can’t hate him. However, I do feel, having watched the majority of games last season, that he was a lackadaisical floater akin to an empty uniform on the ice. That’s not hating, merely an observation with negative connotations.
  8. Hate? That’s a pretty strong word. Derision? Sure. But hate? Nah.
  9. For sure. However a team needs players who won’t back down. The Canucks have Roussel, Ferland, Miller, and Benn. That’s better than last year by a country mile.
  10. So Edmonton still sucks the chrome off a trailer hitch after this trade.
