  1. Same. Milan Lucic, with no clauses in his contract, and some salary retained (although I'd like to know how much) by Edmonton, would be a great add to the bottom six.
  2. Yep. And a Lucic without a clause that was already waived. If that happens, I'll meet you at the entrance to the fallout shelter.
  3. Just watch Eriksson get traded to Calgary and Lucic traded here. I wouldn't doubt it, Jimmy.
  4. He skated away from Guddy, Virtanen, Horvat, and Roussel. Just a total coward.
  5. They also have, based on last year's opening rosters, exchanged goalies.
  6. I'd say that chance is in the 99 percentile. I do agree with what I believe to be the gist of your thread. Biega being the 7th defenseman will be called upon at some point in the season for duty. While he's filled in admirably in the past, I do hope that other options are available.
  7. I'm thinking that Ferland will do his best to play all 82 games. I can see Matheson continue to skate away from trouble like the champ he is.
  8. Loui....I mean Timrafan is worried about Loui's fragile emotions. Benning clearly should be too.
  9. Every kid? So every kid in Canada goes on Canucks.com and is exposed to the horrors of fan opinion and conjecture. Just because it's tops on a search engine hit, doesn't mean that this is the overarching influencer of the fan base. Far from it. Keep reaching though.
  10. If you think that posts on a website are hurting the Canucks "brand", you truly are silly, Loui. Silly like a fox!
  11. This is a good thread too, aqua59. I think that the Canucks definitely have improved this offseason. This team will be a handful for every team in the Pacific, not just Edmonton and Arizona. They've added two proven top six wingers, both of whom are players who revel in the physical game, while putting up points and playing with speed and skill. The addition of Myers and Benn will go a long way towards shoring up the lack of depth on defense, although I believe Benning is still looking to add one more blueliner via a trade. Markstrom and Demko were exemplary last season and will come back even more motivated with a reinvigorated team in front of them. Vancouver is looking like one of the most physical teams in the division now. This team is going to have a great season.
  12. It was Benning’s gaffe. Every GM makes them. I like Benning too.
  13. Eriksson is doing the same thing Vrbata did a few years back. He's playing hardball with a team that mistakenly gave him a contract (easily Benning's biggest gaffe as a GM), and proving himself to be a primadonna who doesn't realize that he's a has-been. I'm sure this is doing wonders for his reputation across the league. Just like Vrbata. Can't wait for this to be over.
