  1. If this is true, the top six is going to be ridiculously better than it was last year. Wow. Getting Ferland, signing Boeser and moving out some contracts would be huge.
  2. He's already (supposedly according to the local media) moved his family to Dallas, so I'm thinking that Eriksson has made a decision ahead of Benning attempting to speak with him. He's not a Canuck by puck drop this fall.
  3. Why? Why should Canucks fans cheer for him of all the Canucks? What has Loui done in his time here to warrant that type of special attention? Why should Benning defend a player who whines about his icetime to the media, when the coach gave him opportunities to succeed on over line? The players don't give a damn. Your Eriksson bias borders on the ridiculous. Your man is the weak link in the situation here. An ineffectual, floater of a hockey player that is merely putting in time to pick up a cheque.
  4. Looking forward to see how Myers embraces the top 4 role. I think this might be the beginning of something very good.
  5. Speaking of a sudden increase in size...…
  6. Myers is a rock solid addition. He and Benn are serious. He, Benn, and Miller......that’s significant.
  7. When you live in Surrey, it’s hard to look forward when you’re constantly looking over your shoulder.
  8. Might have just been alcohol. I didn’t know that 3 AM was the powder hour.
  9. What did button say? That’s the first I’ve heard of the Canucks not treating their players right. Hell, Gudbranson, when he was here, stated that the Canucks took great care of him throughout his various injuries. Button is just recycling a tired trope. Sure Tryamkin left because he wasn’t getting minutes he thought he should be getting, same with Dahlen. The only other NHL caliber player whining like Eriksson was Vrbata. Both were players brought in to play with the Sedins. They got their feelings hurt when the coach moved them to a different line, and were upset when the coach didn’t accept their indifferent play.
  10. If Benning is able to make the trade with the annulment of the clause, I say go for it
  11. In the long run, I’d rather the Canucks employ a very large and known pugilist than an indifferent, defensively savvy meme in waiting. If Benning makes that trade with a significant draft pick or Darnell Nurse, I’m all for it.
  12. Good point. Lucic went through a very difficult personal tragedy while in Edmonton with his father committing suicide. Combine that with being a father for the first time and being part of a train wreck of an organization, and it’s not hard to believe that just maybe he was having a hard time being focused.
  13. I just saw the same "news story" on MSN online. These homepages purport to be news outlets, but are really no better than TMZ. The culture of needing to know everything and punishing anyone that doesn't completely jibe with the menial way of thinking is toxic.
  14. Vancouver has no players choosing arbitration. Trouba and Binnington are the standout names on the list.
  15. He's been going to school and getting his learn on.
  16. Great to hear. Leivo is a solid addition to the team.
