It's funny that you think my lineup is horrible and then you put up that dreck.

      I seriously hope you're joking/trolling.

      Values are far off

  2. Yeah. So many folks don't take that into account. I think with the roster turnover in Florida, there might not be too many of the same faces around, but who knows. Also Gallant not being there anymore might take the shine off of the apple as well. Gudbranson seems to be a fan of how Travis runs the bench. If I'm Gudbranson, it would come down to what direction the Canucks are heading in, and the team identity. His statement regarding not being the only guy to stand up for fellow players was needed and does call into question (rightfully so) the need to move on from the old core this summer. He'll want to know that Benning is going hard after players, through either UFA or trade who aren't only capable of scoring, but capable of standing up for each other too. The young guns coming through the system will need that insulation from a variety of sources.
  3. All that's required is that Gudbranson is interested and a deal is inked.
  4. Exactly. I remember the opening game of the season against the Oilers. Gudbranson lines up Lucic and levels him. What does Milan do? Skates by and gives Guddy a stick tap to the shin. Doesn't Lucic usually get incensed and attack players who do that to him? The tilt against Martin was a decent one for the time allotted. Martin even stated that he respected Guddy after the fight and would love to have a player like him on his team. This, to me, really sums up how powerful Guddy is. Wilson is no slouch, and Gudbranson made him look like a chump. Literally overpowered him. As well, it's important to note how Guddy kept composure and only threw down once Wilson jumped him. I'm glad that Benning's primary objective here is to re-sign Gudbranson. He's a player that will be very handy in the long run.
  5. Hopefully Horvat grows some? He's taken on Darnell Nurse to a draw. He has some. Please. This team has three veterans who have never stood up for a single teammate. That's where the problem lies, and hopefully retires this summer
  6. I think the present-day solution lies somewhere in the middle. Humanity needs to move away from the use and dependency on fossil fuels, but it won't (nor should it) be done with haste. There has to be a steady and methodical transition that slowly works societies out of the dependency on oil for fuels and plastics. It's not realistically possible to do in less than five years. That being said, continuing to rely on fossil fuel for generations will bring about an extinction event eventually.
  7. If Christy and her entire cabinet of scum sucking filth were drawn and quartered, it would be a good day.
  8. For a guy that can hit as hard as he does, he has absolutely zero pushback. I'm tired of watching the past. Time for it to head out and make place for the future.
  9. Bo has already won the his way into the hearts of most fans through his play. He and Darnell Nurse had a pretty decent go last season, so I was surprised when Bo didn't do something. Gudbranson hasn't been a creampuff since he came here. That being said, as long as the Sedins and Edler are the predominant veteran presence on the team, the complete lack of pushback will continue to permeate the lineup. To still have Dorsett, Bieksa, or Rypien (RIP) would be huge. Gudbranson is right though. Management will need to acquire free agents or player through trade that won't stand and watch as fellow teammates are manhandled.
  10. I don't think so at all. Virtanen wasn't on the ice when Boeser was boarded, and slammed Lewis into the boards on the first opportunity and challenged him. It was later revealed that Lewis had a taped wrist and was unable to fight. What a turd. Gudbranson was calling out the Canucks on the ice in my opinon. Henrik Sedin, Daniel Sedin, Alex Edler, and Bo Horvat. Which is totally fair. Clearly Edler and the Sedins aren't really in to standing up for their teammate (and never have been), but Bo should have done something.
  11. Totally. The team needs to turn over more of the previous core's roster players before there is a team wide adherence to that kind of pack mentality.
  12. Gudbranson had some interesting comments regarding Trevor Lewis' cowardly hit on Boeser: "I'm not the only guy that should do it on this team. I think there should have been a pushback. That's something that I bring & had I been on the ice there would have been something done a little differently."
  13. The same Brandon Prust who stated that the kids need to learn how to stick up for themselves? That guy was a floater. Dorsett never said that. He took that part of his role seriously. Prust? All too happy to shrug it off.
  14. Hopefully the end of his maladies.
  15. He was out before practice with a conditioning coach. He is skating with the team.
  16. The folks that are the worst on Virtanen are the tools in the local media looking to drudge up some bullcrap on him. I think that Green sees something special in Jake and handles him how he does to get the best development curve possible. The average fan here either follows the media BS or makes up their own mind, or is captainhorvat, will never forgive Jake for past indiscretions..... I think he'll make something of himself with this team still. He's shown glimpses of being a really good player. He just has to maintain consistency, and continue to believe in his ability. As well, having a set couple of linemates does wonders for a player's performance and confidence.
  17. Not to mention Kassian had to hit bottom to have a moment of clarity which served him well. He realized that he already had one foot out the door and if he didn't stick with Edmonton, he'd be out of the NHL. Jake, by all accounts (at least credible ones), doesn't seem to have the same issues that plagued Kassian. He's in his first true season in the NHL, not just being asked to come up and get his stuff. He needs a little bit more maturity, but what average 21 year old doesn't? Yes he's shown some bad choices when it comes to errant passes, but so have the Sedins, Edler, Bo, Brock, and the list goes on. I think Green will get Jake solidly on track by the end of this season.
  18. Or change his first name to Sergei or Ilya.
  19. You could make a tent out of it.
  20. I'm fine with Benning still. I'm not in the payroll. Just a fan of the team. I like his work already. His drafting is solid. As Roger Daltrey once sang "the kids are alright". These vets just have to retire first.
  21. Or only a schmuck would believe that the Canucks would hire people to "professionally" post on an online hockey forum.
  22. Patterson would be free to do whatever he wanted then.
  23. No. The Brinks truck being driven by Darryl Katz pulling into Bettman's front gate says otherwise.
