  1. He offered Gaunce all his sticks... Edler has been very consistent in the last few weeks, taking the body like a beast, boxing players out and making some great passes. I hope he can keep it up because when he plays like this, he's a very good defenseman.
  2. Hutton improved his game. Took the benching seriously. And it looks like Orpik felt the heat from the Hutton train. BOOM!
  3. You're preaching to the choir. That's why I said that he needs to keep it up, because he rarely ever does.
  4. I do agree that an offseason acquisition may need to be the answer to helping solidify the d-corps.
  5. I'll say that Gudbranson was making some crisp passes out of the zone last night. His passing was on point. Hutton was the physical force for the team yesterday, and it looked good on him.
  6. Edler had a few beautiful hits last night. He played a pretty solid game. Now, Alex....just keep it steady. Do what you did the night before.
  7. If the Ben Hutton that played against the Caps last night is the Ben Hutton going forward, Benning should keep him
  8. Happy birthday, Jimmy Page.

Jimmy was the best part of that show.

He makes it so effortless. What a gift he has.

  9. He's not a miracle worker, Attila.
  10. I'm thinking Loui has just really acclimated himself to the local culture, possibly in ways that Nikita wouldn't approve of.
  11. Yeah. I saw that. Matthews is an idiot. At least players like McDavid and Eichel carry themselves with class and maturity. Same can't be said for that beady-eyed asshat.
  12. They were playing well earlier in the season, when the defensive line-up was essentially the same. I'd say this defense hasn't been very good in over 7 years really.
  13. Del Zotto can play a physical game. Edler, if the mood strikes him, can play a physical game. Stecher and Pouliot aren't shrinking wallflowers either. The Canucks need to establish a better defense though, I agree. Maybe replace Nolan Baumgartner, as he is the defensive coach, and seemingly (by the play of the defense lately) has lost touch.
  14. Hate to say it, Boudrias, but the weakest member of the defensive corps is sitting out and may be traded in short time.
  15. Instead Martin boards him and the zebras turn a blind eye.
  16. That is a good point. Pittsburgh didn't really have a defense that screamed dominant during that time.
  17. Exactly. Kane has cleaned up his act, and the violence against women incident, while pathetic, was one night in Buffalo at a bar, where everyone (Kane included) was extremely intoxicated. Not excusing the guy, but I don't think his actions were deliberate, as much as they were brought on by the booze. Patrick Kane, on the other hand, not only assaulted a cab driver and refused to pay him, but was charged with rape, which charges were summarily dropped. His Stanley Cup rings seem to have absolved him in the hockey world. Funny eh? I wonder if Kane's lingering reputation issues might have something to do with some other factor.... Regardless, Evander Kane is doing quite well this year, and looks to be resurrecting his career swimmingly. In my opinion, his rare combination of talents would be a welcome addition to the Canucks, coupled with his love for his hometown. Not every player has to be a choirboy or boyscout in order for the team to be successful.
  18. He reunited me with a long lost cousin and got me 15 percent off home insurance.
  19. They found a way to clone him? Players like Bo should be handed the reigns full time now, and given the team to lead.
  20. He didn't look very physically engaged tonight.
  21. Juolevi proved in this tournament what he is capable of, and just how good of a player he really is.
  22. Great goal by Juolevi this morning to put Finland ahead.
  23. Edler has been pretty solid this season. He's been hitting with much more purpose this season too. It would be interesting to see where his head is at regarding Vancouver, and whether or not he's as ironclad in his insistence to remain here though. He would be a pretty good trade chip to gather more picks with, and I'm sure Benning would send him to a contender.
