I've watched a few of his games, and I can't help but thinking that EP is going to be the best player taken in the 2017 draft. I think he will be fine playing around 175-180, which definitely isn't out of reach for him by the end of this year. If the Sedins do decide to retire after this season, I'd imagine EP would cement himself as the #1C quite quickly.

0 points in 2 games in the AHL? Bust. Real talk though, Benning telling him he was only going down for 2 games... How does that send a message? Send him down until he forces you to call him up. I get there aren't any players down there for him to work with besides Subban, but him getting 20 minutes a night is better than getting 8.

Lets be real for a minute - there is absolutely no way Willie D plays Horvat as the 2nd line C, its clear he has absolutely no idea what hes doing. I highly doubt WD plays Boeser on the 2nd line in his first year, he'll want him to "earn it" from the 4th line first.

Anyone think Virtanen is a possibility in the 3rd round if Utica makes it? Playing in a game would be more beneficial to his development than watching. I would like to see him on a line with Shinkaruk.

Craig said that he thinks Virtanen is going to turn out to be more of a Raffi Torres type player and not a top 6 forward.

I'd take Virtanen any day of the week over Ehlers. Ehlers wouldn't make it in the west, just imagine him playing against the Kings or Sharks. He would die.
