  1. I think most fans understand that the team isn't THIS bad. But we also understand that the team is not a contender even at their best. So what are we? A middling team that's capped out, haven't acquired draft picks, and don't have much in the prospect pool. So, yeah, the team isn't going to lose 82 games this season and they will win again and will likely go on winning streaks this season. But, there's not a lot of hope that this team has what it takes to be a contender.
  2. Agree. As long as the message from the top is to get him revenue for two playoff games, we’re never going to see any meaningful rebuild.
  3. Oh hey Calvin De Haan scored today. Not saying that’s the reason we should’ve signed him, but of COURSE he scores on the day we blow our home opener.
  4. Apparently they had sticks being thrown in the dressing room a couple games ago and nothing changed. There’s something seriously rotten in the locker room and something needs to give.
  5. Wow I didn’t notice that at first. What an embarrassment. They knew they had us right there and took it to us in the third.
  6. Even if he doesn’t become a star, I’d still much rather have him as a prospect and the Beags/Loui/Rous cap space over OEL’s contract and Garland.
  7. Yeah, OEL is not the issue. It’s what we can’t do because we have OEL that’s the issue.
  8. Yup. They always turn it on in time to screw us out of lottery odds.
  9. I’m not sure how it works, but is it possible to retain only on his current contract remainder? Miller at 50% for just this season should still have value assuming he still puts up points this year.
  10. Yeah, that’s a great point. It takes two to make a deal. But if the rest of the league soured on giving up assets for him, it makes me question why we threw such a massive contract his way.
  11. So that’s how they’re gonna pay for Green, Bruce, and whoever the next bandaid solution is.
  12. I understand why he wasn’t moved at the deadline with the run we were on, but it was so clear to so many that a better course of action was to trade Miller in the off-season with retention for pieces that would align with building around Petey/Hughes/Demko. Miller is not in that window. Who knows how things will play out, but man there were plenty of us saying that was probably the way to go.
  13. Yeah. And if we’re allowed to retain 50% on Miller for just this season, there could be a desperate taker at the deadline who needs to go all-in.
