  1. If we're substituting a virus that has annoying, lingering symptoms for a virus that often goes symptom-free, I think we might be making progress.
  2. Easy. Trade the Covid-7 for 2 firsts, 3 seconds, 1 third and 2 fourths.
  3. The NHL was very fortunate to pull off the bubble/playoffs successfully, IMO. A season where everybody is travelling around was pushing their luck.
  4. No hockey isn't essential, but it is what people are complaining about here .... as if it really were important.
  5. Yep. There is no hiding from this thing. You can't enter a building in B.C. without wearing a mask, yet case-positives are higher than ever. Herd-immunity is the answer, in any manner that it is achieved.
  6. Well, which is it? Do you want the players 'staying home' too, or is it okay for them to be out golfing on their days off? (which they have been). Can't have it both ways.
  7. It's bound to be an endemic, just like influenza. The virus will adapt, humanity will adapt.
  8. Great shot and tough as nails. At 5'9" 160 lbs, he was small but he fought all the heavyweights. Scored a hatty one night and followed it up with a 4-goal game two days later. A 7-goal weekend. Had another 4-goal game a month later.
  9. Nice. About the best result the Canucks could have hoped for.
  10. I can agree with this. And the player that concerns me in this regard is #40.
  11. Janisa has been busy. Some of that is plausible, some is not. I would not trade Hughes, nor do I think he is or ever will be a true top-pairing Dman. But he is a rare and valuable specialist. The Canucks have scarcely ever had a PP QB of his ability. In a league where skating ability is paramount, letting him go is a huge mistake. The problem with Hughes is that the Canucks are going to have to pay him as a top-pairing Dman to keep him here long-term. Jim (or his replacement) need to plan for that. The other noteworthy part is Tryamkin. He's not going to leave Russia to come here for $2.25M/year. I don't think you'd get him for double that amount.
