  1. What doesn't make sense is people on this board talking about trading a pick that does not even belong to the canucks.
  2. Seriously, why bother? He is just growing fat off of these replies.
  3. This is called being objective. He has provided valuable info along with his own insights as to what he thinks will happen at the draft. I find it very helpful, as do I most of your posts. I originally thought your obsession with theminister was funny; however, now it is getting pretty weird and awkward. Your perceptions of his posts are off. I understand that you do not like him so please just put him on ignore - you are wrecking this thread.
  4. Wtf are you rambling about? If this is a troll job, you are very weak at it. If these are the actual thoughts that rattle around your skull, then I feel sorry for you. Either way I do not think I will pay you much more attention.
  5. I dont think sarcasm makes you look very smart. You should stop.
  6. Because these players are professionals and, despite popular belief, are oozing with class. Perhaps they thought it would be counterproductive to air out their dirty laundry for all to see? What good could have come from publicly drawing a line in the sand? Edit: I also think it shows how out of the loop the media (and by extension the fans) actually are.
  7. Do you have any sources for these reports? Or are you speculating on your own speculation?
  8. Good for AV! A visit to both conference finals in the last 4 years!
  9. Very true. Even look more recently at the trade deadline. I can't think of a single transaction that happened that any of these reporters had an a leg up on. They all looked surprised (at the actual trades) and very much out of the loop.
  10. As a long time reader and a very new poster, theminister has always been one of the most reputable, respectable, and objective posters on this site. A breath of fresh air.
  11. Sorry to jump in here but what news are you guys talking about?
  12. I don't think that Gillis was ever on record saying that everybody was on the table but the Sedins. This was the speculation of "one reporter" so maybe your "think for your self comment" was a bit shortsighted if not hypocritical.
  13. Sorry, not too sure how to quote properly. Darth Ninja - I fail too see the relevance of an 'opposing' captain (three years ago) speaking to motivate his own team by stating they will expose the Canucks in a heated playoff series and what Torts did to expose the weaknesses of his own team. Kola Nuts - I think everybody realizes that changes are/were necessary. Torts did not expose this, he merely highlighted the obvious which I highly doubt he was asked to do in his hiring interviews (what do I know though maybe he was brought in as a core buster). The fact that he did not adjust to their strengths tells me he did not do his job.
  14. I do not understand why Torts' ability to expose the weaknesses of his players/team is considered an argument to keep him. Is this not the job of the opposing coach?
