  1. I voted Benning awful because that is really good!!
  2. And just who would fill that freed up cap space? Easy to say lose the cap space…however you still need to replace the roster spot.
  3. Lol…most of my sources are right here in this community.
  4. First off I claimed neither of the above. That is simply what you read into it. Yes both of the above were factors however the bottom line is that the expansion draft was the biggest factor.
  5. Please we all know Markstrom was gone before the expansion draft and because of the expansion draft. Marky wanted to be #1 with a NMC. To heck with Demko. Canucks chose youth. No expansion draft the Canucks would have probably kept Markstrom to battle it out with Demko another year or two. Which takes us back to my original statement: Markstrom was lost due to the expansion draft.
  6. Considering we don’t have the US politics thread for entertainment anymore I guess it makes sense.
  7. Ok so pull some article out from a year before Markstrom left as proof. Also if you read the whole article it mentions the expansion draft and only being able to protect 1 goaltender. You can do better.
  8. I think we see Miller in training camp unless it is a no brainer offer.
  9. Seems like a fair deal to me with both sides hedging their bet.
  10. Crap now what am I going to do to entertain myself.
  11. It is looking like we will have lots to cheer about this year. Either the Lions are very good or the Elks and Argos are really bad. I am thinking that it is more of the former than latter.
  12. As a step dad myself that brings a smile to my heart. My kids were 10 and 3 when I arrived.
  13. Wait a minute…They look like Antifa.
  14. I was pounding scotch watching the game on the tube. The way I feel today I don’t think I will make 90. Great to see a Lions team that runs the ball and uses the back out of the backfield. I felt last year that Reilly was too much about Reilly and didn’t hand off near enough. Go Lions Go.
  15. For me the alarm bells started going off in pre-season. Here we had a raft of new players and Green didn’t put any lines together until the start of the season. Instead he was trying out the AHL plugs. I understand he needed to play some of the plugs but play at least 2 set lines to get the players comfortable with each other. Then when they started getting used to each other Covid struck again, keeping the players apart and mixing up the lines. By the time the players started to settle it was too late for Green and the playoffs. Also Hamonics antics hurt our defence after he was slated to be a big part of the defence.
