  1. I seemed to have made my injury worse, i'm thinking it's my bicep tendon. But yeah it's been sore since xmas and I just ignored it and worked through it..now the pains not as bearable I'll be seeing a doctor this weekend likely, hopefully not out too long. Yeah my gym's a mess like that, people leaving their weights all over the place and not cleaning up. Though I think I spotted the culprit..massive Ronnie Coleman look alike warming up with 3 plate squats
  2. I've always just have minor scratches, however a friend of mine always manages to cut himself to the point bloods dripping down from a scab he won't let heal.
  3. How much weight does it take to bend a barbell? Last week the bar at the squat rack was so bent I had to steal one off a bench. This week two of the bars are bent. I go to a small gym and they only have 3 barbells and seems like everyone's just waiting in line to use that one good bar
  4. ^^Not sure if placebo effect or not but since i've been taking bcaa's, but I am starting to look more ripped/lean and my beer belly (not overly huge) was gone within a month. What time of day do you guys/girls (if any) workout? or what are the best "optimal" times to workout throughout the day? The reason I ask is I just had my work shift changed and after work I had the worst workout in a while.
  5. Scivation Xtend is really good, i've got the Strawberry Kiwi flavour taste so good! I use it for empty stomach workouts in the morning or will sip through the day at times when i'm in a fasted state.
  6. Personally prefer to do the cardio after lifting if I do any. Save the energy for lifting and as for a protein "supplement" I go with gold standard. Just try to eat lots in my diet

  9. ^^I usually just start my morning off with a power coffee..try it out if you want (better than no breakfast) 2 scoops protein 1/2cups dark roast coffee 1 tbl spoon coconut oil 1 tbl spoon grass fed butter/unsalted butter Give it a week or two to adjust. Last time I took a prolonged break from the gym, I wasn't able to bend my arms for a week. I'll do chin ups every now and then from home just cause i've got one of those 30 dollar hanging bars. But i'm way less motivated working out at home and don't train no where near as hard.

  11. Too be honest if he had put out the Sedins none of it would of probably happened. Sestito vs McGrattan was going to happen regardless as usual. Though by putting Lain (Bieksa-face off)out vs Westgarth did make the game way more entertaining.
  12. Lol the sad part is that flames starting line up is usually the same line they've used last 5-6 games with a rotating centre. Big win in a strange game, I expected a blow out by the nucks but it was an entertaining battle right to the end. Hoping we get hot and Hank is okay.
  13. Quest bars aren't too bad; I don't really eat me much but good for when I'm in a rush or snack.

      even if you win 30-0, still doesn't change the fact that we can't beat SoCal teams..which we will most likely play in the 1st round...so, laugh now, cry later?

  15. ^^I stick with Gold Standard Whey by Optimum Nutrition works well for me. I usually take 2 scoops in the morning with my coffee and just eat lots of high protein meats throughout the day. Protein intake depends on body weight in kg x 1.5-2grams is what I aim for. Also make sure you TRAIN HARD, SAY YOUR PRAYERS AND TAKE YOUR VITAMINS!

Though I voted for Hutton; apparently the votes only worth 1% Also Johnny Gaudreau got screwed out of the Hobey Baker last year cause he was a sophomore and he's played insanely good for a 12 year old kid this year. Hobey Baker award usually goes to seniors and not sophomores or juniors. If Hutton makes final 3 that'll be awesome.

  19. I'd recommend just keeping it simple. For starters get your diet in check..healthy fats, lots of protein and minimizing carb intake. As for your workouts make sure to include compound exercises and if you can handle it superset/decrease rest between sets (for cardio). I never do cardio at the gym.. I usually just get it from boxing and the odd beer league game if my friend needs me to sub in on a day off. If you are going to do cardio..you'll probably see the best results for hiit training/dieting. Their are a billion workouts out on the web. Personally I slowly eased back in with fully body workouts before switching to isolated to reduce soreness and increase recovery. It's different with everyone so I'd recommend trying a few things and finding something that works for you. Just make sure you don't overtrain as you might get all excited and pumped being back in the gym. Take your rest days, get your sleep and meals. Nothing wrong with a cheat meal once a week (just don't over do it).
