Panarin ? Do we need/ want him?
Dude is set to become a UFA next summer and tbh he does intrugue me as an elite top 3 guy we may want, especially on the LW (where we lack imo).
Would you be interested?

He'd be an amazing addition but I have a feeling he wants to stay in the States and play in a big market like New York, anywhere in California, or Chicago (again). Off ice lifestyle seems to be a driving force for him with this decision despite the fact that Columbus has a really good looking team on its hands and he can be a focal point of it for years if he stuck around. That said, we can always dream.
Canucks just need to stay the hell away from Bobrovsky.

No thanks... wing isn't the biggest area of need for the team at this time. Sven's continuing in his upward trajectory so far and is on pace for a 50 point season despite missing games, while Goldie's also looking like a breakout candidate and could actually see it come to fruition if he remains tethered with Petey. On the right wing Brockstar's doing Brockstar things (11 points in 15 games after a slow start), while Jake looks like he could break 25 goals and 35 points, solid totals similar to Sven's last year. If the group keeps it up, we could be looking at
Goldie - Petey - Brockstar
Bearcheese (50 pts.) - Heavy Hand Horvat - Shotgun Jake (25 G, 35 P)
Nothing to sneeze at. In this case, if we actually do contend, I'd rather see the team try to move the likes of a Guddy/ Tanev/ Stecher with a decent prospect to see if we could upgrade on right-side D. Say if Carolina falls out of the playoff picture, go for a Dougie Hamilton-type player (right side offensive D-man with a slap shot) to give something the team doesn't have (right handed offensive PP QB to work with Brock and Petey up top and facilitate more one-timers from the blue-line). - Show next comments 3 more
