  1. Rather move Myers for Jones. Schmidt wasnt able to gel with the team and hes a vocal guy. Hes a nice touch on our back end
  2. If we can get 2 LW that are top 6 talent, we could roll 3 good lines with the pieces we already have Or find a solid 3C to shutdown teams.
  3. Just for sake or arguement we don't go the offensive route and dont have Miller centering his own line. If we can find a good shutdown centre. Horvat could definetly score more goals / points. One of the reasons we sucked away is because top teams didn't match themselves against Horvat due to his shutdown capabilities and would play against the lotto line instead. Horvat could be a 70 p guy, and still shutdown top lines if need be depending on the match up. Imagine if teams had to decide between Horvat or a Horvat 2.0 to match up against. WE NEED TO CLONE HORVATS
  4. We have quality centres imo if we roll 3 lines ____ Pettersson Boeser ____ Miller Hoglander Pearson Horvat Poldkozin - sick shut down line imo Our biggest concern on forwards is lack of depth on LW (Ovi anyone :P)
  5. Miller Petey Boeser (20m) ___ Kuznetsov Hoglander (9M to 14M) (Call it 12) Pearson Horvat Poldkozin ( Call it 11M) Motte ___ ___ Thats 44 M in 9 Players
  6. Unless we plan to role 3 lines But, with that said we can find cheaper options for 7.3M
  7. Miller , 2nd rd, probably next year first round pick (they need to lowkey rebuild) (conditional) He would slot in in our top 6. We need to find a good shutdown 3C and depth scoring, and bolster our D. Kuznetsov doesn't fit with our teams needs imo
  8. Joel Eriksson Ek - $1.5 M approx - $1,439,821 – $2,181,545: 2021 third round pick. Andrew Copp - $2.28M - $2,181,546 – $4,363,095: 2021 second round pick. Tyler Bertuzzi - $3.5 M $2,181,546 – $4,363,095: 2021 second round pick. Go sign these 3 guys as they are RFA- the price to pay in draft picks is worth it imo
  9. He hasn't came out and produced yet. Its for the potential he can have with Pettersson
  10. If the Canucks aim to roll 3 lines effectively, we have 3 solid Centres in Petey/ Miller/ Horvat We need to surround them with dynamic and elite wingers who can compliment their game. Hoglander and Boeser have both done so and played great this past season. But we still need to surround the Big 3 with talent. Pearson has been good for Horvat but scores in bursts. Poldkozin should emerge as a top talent one day and help us get better. With Virtanen never living up to potential, we could possibly try to move him to LA for none other then Pettersson's friend/ old teammate, Lias Andersson. Andersson has taken time to develop, and he hates losing. He was traded for by LA for the 60th pick. Now assuming Virtanen's case in courts doesnt end up with big results. We may look to trade him with potentially a 3rd or 4th round pick to get Andersson. Andersson- Petey- Boeser ___ Miller Poldkozin Pearson Horvat Hoglander ___ ___ Motte Now we could potentially role 3 lines and allow talent to be spread up and down the line up.
  11. Lotto Line Poldkozin - Horvat - Hoglander Pearson ____ Motte ____ ____ ____ Adjust our Defence to get better and fill flaws we have. Improve PK/PP Holtby gets moved or gets taken by Seattle Beagle/ Baertschi/ Roussell can be bought out or moved. Ericksson can retire per say or be traded after he gets his bonus $
  12. Who out there could be a good 3C that can shut down top lines so Horvat doesn't have to?

      @Patel Bure

      so did alot of people.

Bo is a good shutdown guy but I dont think we have to label him as a 3C

Wennberg is a UFA, not sure if he's a shut down centre. He has some size and at least is decent on scoring. (Red flag is his 59 point season was 4 years ago, and hovering around 30 points ever since)

  13. issue w/ hughes is that he needs defensive work. DMAN getting 8 mill are great both ways. I'm not saying Hughes can't do it but time will tell. We need a dman to complement hughes , tanev was that guy and took care of defensive woes hughes had, but without Tanev he was more so exposed. Pettys injury can be a factor in his salary... if he doesnt have that same shot I mean
  14. Centers near Pettersson range in terms of P/GP are Toews and Backstrom. No offence to Petty, but those 2 are proven winners. Petey still has lots to show before he gets $ near them in terms of 9M plus. Courtier makes near 4.3 M yet has the benefit of playing with high end players too. ROR makes 7.5 M and if he gets that, Petey shouldnt get more than that long term imo. I love these players don't get me wrong, but we have to play hardball sadly
  15. Isnt Boesers next contract supposed to be around 7 based on his RFA status and whatever rules there are, unless they go to arbitration (im not sure). I'd rather pay Horvat more then Boeser personally. Boeser can score 30g great, but cant play fully on both sides of the ice.
  16. Add Myers and Schmidt, thats almost another 12 million. 63 million for 10 players We gotta start saving some money when these dumb contracts end :/
  17. Me too, but lets say 3 years out. Horvat and Miller can 7 and 6 respectivelly. Boeser will want 7.5 Hoglander and Poldkozin can be near 5 million. Thats 38.5 mill in our top 6. Hughes with 8 and Demko with 5. Thats 51.5 in those 8 players
  18. Damn Tavares

Never want to see that happen. Hope he’s alright. Total accident so why would Foligno get Perry to fight him? That was so stupid

      I hope he’s ok.

  19. I feel this can go one of 2 ways. Boeser took a good deal (somewhat of a bridge) and it would be awesome if Elias did the same. Sign him for 3 years if the case as it makes said contract expire after Miller and Horvat are resigned. 3 years too for Hughes if bridge type. This allows for the cap to increase by the time they need to be resigned. 6m x 3 years for Petey - May not want to resign long term due to wrist injury and potential decrease in play Tyson Barrie took near 4 million, but it was more of a show me contract and his stats are inflated due to MCD Petry makes 5.5 million for the HABS and had better stats Hedman makes under 8 million. Chychryun makes near 4.5 million If we could get Hughes for 5 million for 3 years I'd be happy ---- Long term sign them so their contract expires so they remain RFA in their last year. Petey 7.5 million for 8 years? Hughes 7 million for 8 years?
  20. Just Green and Clark We need new PP/ PK coaches Sedins can be the new conditioning coaches since they were the most fit every year , even when old
  21. Conditioning Coach and Powerplay?
  22. a 3rd line shutdown is key, we cant have Horvat matching up against top lines every game
