  2. new jersey devils are live streaming a simulated game . over 1500 viewers!

  3. As per the Daily Hive an NHL player from the Senators has tested positive COVID 19. Persons name remains unknown https://dailyhive.com/montreal/ottawa-senators-player-test-positive-coronavirus
  4. as per Pierre LeBrun: all on ice officials who are on the road now to work NHL games have been told to book flights home

  5. im not saying it would get the job done ofc.... im just saying we want someone good!
  6. Dahlin, Makar, Josi, the list can go on forever..... I'd rather see what Poldkozin brings before anything. Buy out / trade bad contracts, let them run out and resign else where..... we need to start worrying about our cap if we plan to be contenders for a long time. The way I see it is with our young core team we have a window of 13 to 18 years to win as many cups as possible. The best thing for us would be signing Petey + Hughes long term around the 8 to 10 mill mark and hoping the new tv deal gives us a lot more space in the future to come.
  7. hopefully he plays over ericksson today :/
  8. Can Brock become a career 500 goal scorer?

I feel if we were to draft one or someone became one, we would be unstoppable

Stamkos has 422 goals in 12 years, dunno if Brock would perform to that level.

John Tavares has 345 goals in 11 years, Brock can play to those numbers imo.

He has the potential to do it, he just needs to stay healthy in order to accomplish that.

  9. Hog + Poldkozin, Dipeitro, Joulevi + Rafferty Assuming rathbone, lockwood, lind, woo
  10. Q Hughes currently has 49 points in 60 games and sits 16th all time in rookie Dman scoring. If he were to hypothetically play Assuming he maintains this pace and plays the rest of the season he could finish with 66 points, pushing Ray Bourque out the 5th spot

Hughes is clearly proving he’s better than Dahlin.  And It’s not even close.

Until overtime it was a pretty frustrating game for Hughes. But he doesn't often have Rookie type games.

  11. Time to see what we got in Demko.... long term blessing?

  12. We know we may not have enough funds to resign Troy Stetcher and at the time being he doesnt look like himself. The Canucks need to step up their game on Defence and always, toughness Assuming Mark Borowiecki isnt out for more than a week as per his injury. He may be someone we should target at the deadline. Ottawa gets a young dman Pros: We get a DMAN who has 200+ hits every season . May save us $ next year. Cons: Borowiecki is an Ottawa region native and may not want to resign. To Ottawa: Troy Stetcher To Van: Mark Borowiecki 4th rd cond pick (if he resigns)
  13. All this talk about Simmonds... why not Kane. The sharks are done for the year no matter how hard they may try. they need to go in rebuild more

@6string Kane is pretty widely regarded as being a prick. There was friction between him and Byfuglien in Winnipeg (reportedly brought on by Kane's bad attitude) and I've personally seen a small slice of that in person while out and about in Vancouver.

      coastal.view

      sure why not kane

he can take all our young prospects to vegas in the summers and when there are breaks in the season schedule

he can teach them all how to flash their bling, their cash, selfies, etc

work on their own ego building over team building

we need someone like him to help mould our young core

      get on it jb

      spare no cost

HerrDrFunk    His stay in San Jose has been a complete turnaround though, him and his wife had to endure a miscarriage. Events like that change and shape your lives imo.

  14. The way I see it is there are 62 goalies in the league Marky I would say in the top 10 atm. Every team protects 1 goalie, and leaves one unprotected Now that means 31 goalies available? is Demko a top 3 goalie in that lower class... only reason he gets picked up is due to him being a younger goalie and could be promising for their future
  15. I like Kapenen but not at the trade off of Tanev, we need him more then Kapenen imo. We need to improve our defence imo, but at what cost.
  16. Could we potentially trade Ericksson to seattle with a 3rd rd pick?

    1. JM_

      JM_

maybe, depends on who they pick and if they need the money to meet the cap floor for an expansion team.

    2. stawns

There are easier ways to get to the cap floor (ie., throw money at a legit top 6 player free agent or top 4 D free agent).  A 3rd round pick isn't going to get anybody to bite.

  17. Pacific in the NHL is tight and damn that conference is even tighter
  18. Ericksson is a good player, simply overpaid
  19. As long as we are in the playoff race, we won't trade anyone to lose assets for now.... Only person that may be out is Benn as Fantenberg plays better imo
  20. There was 2 streams of the WJC on yesterday in Russia. One showing the real game, other showing the 2011 game where Russia won.

'Fans' thought Russia won yesterday :bigblush:
