  1. 8M x 6 years? last 2 years have no clause Trade Boeser at this point for a RHD?
  2. In the last 3 years: Miller ranks 8th amongst Centres in Points, 13th based on ppg. Ahead of Point, Tavares, Kopitar.....

1st rd pick, Schneider, and a piece dont seem enough

Especially when he has 2 playoffs in him potentially and at a low cost

Critics? I think everyone would like to keep Miller, It is just how our Cap was constructed and few ELC players to step in and capitalize on selling players high (to continue being strong). Buying high and overpaying for 4th liners who sat or never played and they had draft picks attached just to release them eventually was going to catch up with us. I expected us to be better this year, but one could see it was a short term fix and not one for the long term future I think we will have to take a step back next year with 2 steps forward after that, (instead of the 1 step forward,2 steps back approach from before), Had the team been patient in spending and terms, I believe we would have been a contender next year

  3. Unless the return is great- keep em and re sign them. They cost us now about 2.8M - get them resigned for 3.5M for next year Lammikko - 1M x 2 Highmore - 1M x 2 Motte 1.5 x 2 or 1.75 x 3
  4. I'll be at the game too! Behind the Duck's Bench
  5. At the end we need to score more then 2 goals, regardless of our goalie

We need Boeser and Petey to do something out there.

Pretty much. One can argue that we were missing a fair bit of talent in Horvat, Garland, and Miller and they'd be right, but the bottom line is that other guys have to step up offensively and we haven't really seen that the last couple games.

Credit our opponents, absolutely, but with the margin for losing being as small as it is the guys in the lineup have to find a way to produce. Next man up mentality. Tall order? Sure, but so is making the playoffs.

I've been defending Dickinson all season long. He brings good things to the table, but offense/finish is not one of them. He NEEDED to score one or both of those breakaways.

  6. I predict a Canucks win today, Hopefully Pettersson scores a couple against Binnington
  7. Petey, Boeser, Hughes need to play 25 mins tonight..

Motte Podkolzin Hoglander need to step up to a higher level tonight.

Myers and OEL need to shut it down big time tonight.

Quinn Hughes already averages about 25 minutes a night, so that would be normal for him.

Someone needs to build a brick wall in the crease.

      Nah I say bench them

  8. So Kane for a 2 x 2 mill deal? low risk, more then he could get in KHL?

1 year for 2 mill maybe. And that's a MAYBE.

  9. The 5 games on the road trip will determine if we are actual playoff contenders and if we should be buyer or sellers at the deadline imo

if we are buyers- nothing extreme!

We will go 3-1-1 on the road trip.  And by the TDL we will be in a playoff spot.  Even so, we will not be “buyers”.  Any deals will be hockey trades.  JR already said we aren’t in the position Pit was when he took them over.

  10. My biggest question is Shea Theodore untouchable? Myers has been great under Boudreau, but I would swap the two or figure a way to get a cheap 2nd pairing RD while moving Myers and get Theodore
  11. I don't cheer for other teams, but I cheer for other players I wanted Ovi to win a cup, Stamkos to finally get one. As much as I dont like the Oilers , especially at the expense of us losing: I would like McDavid/ Draisatl to win a cup I dont cheer for the Leafs/ Bruins
  12. Now I know there is still a long way to go- but does the fact Calgary is plagued with COVID present a chance for us to sneak into the Pacific

Feel the friggin’ loser LMes.  Screw them losers.  What?  Are they sick?  Oh well, too bad.  Hopefully they all recover. B)

  13. Boeser should get near $7.5 to 8. We have 10M in cap space --- Pearson Dickinson Motte Chiasson Poolmon and anyone on a minimal deal should be traded even if its for a late pick. Trade anyone of the above and get Kane retained from the Sharks... he could be a cheap salary to play mid 6 role -- Miller and Horvat Hoglander are the real payments due the next year. I hope we can get all 3 under 20M- hopefully cap goes up somewhat by then
  14. Kane retained for Pearson and Chiasson would be amazing. Poolman has been better so I guess hes off the block. Add a 4th rounder or such to get er done
  15. Pearson, Poolman and a 4th for Evander Kane (50% retained) --- Pool man hasnt been the guy we needed, Peason would do ok in the bottom 6 there
  16. Pearson for Kane (retained)

DeAngelo is a new player this year and was waived. Kane would be a huge improvement on Pearson

      Not worth the drama.

Last thing we need is drama, again

We need some quiet, good vibes.

  17. Pearson, Poolman and a 4th round pick for Kane (50% retained) DeAngelo got waived and is playing great- should have tried getting him
  18. Now I know we just won 1 game and I know it doesn't mean a whole lot just yet. Bruce Boudreau mentioned winning 2 of 3 games a week as a positive sign to making it into the playoffs.... In recent history the minimum amount of points needed have ranged from 87 to 97 points, with an average of 92.6 points or a 0.565 point percentage. ---- Currently we have 20 points over 26 games, meaning we need ideally 73 points over the last 56 games. Equivalent to a .652 point percentage or for example 35 - 18 - 3 record Almost a 2 wins for 1 loss as Bruce mentioned... now is it possible. Ideally we should aim for the higher end, trying to win divisional games as they are 4 point nights and against the Central division incase of a wild card race. St. Louis Blue's did a complete turn around to make the playoffs and win the cup. Now I'm not saying we win the cup, but are playoffs feasible? What are your predictions for point percentage for the last 56 games this season. Currently 9 teams of the 32 have played .652 point percentage hockey over the first 22-26 games. Can we pull it off? Or is to game over? Personally, as much as I hope and pray unless we improve our PK and PP drastically we miss the playoffs...
  19. We are fine, our issue is that; 1) Petey and Boeser don't show up 2) Pearson is w/ Horvat 3) Dickinson isn't playing to the hopes we had, having an offensive minded players with him doesnt help 4) Faceoffs are killing us 5) Powerplay- seriously don't know what needs to happen - Petey needs to move around and needs to go back to his old stick 6) PK is a mess, make a change on it asap and make Shaw D coach
  20. If Ovi beats the goal record, he also ends up in the top 15 points wise.

Assuming he can rack up 91 assists with the 153 goals needed, hes top 10

  21. Wouldn't mind Babcock at all, he would hold everyone responsible.
  22. What Petey needs to do : 1) change his stick 2) be shown his own highlight reel 3) go shoot 500 pucks each day w/ Boeser
