    The team has to make cap space in order to add anything. Most glaring deficiency is team toughness that is a significant upgrade to Schaller. Tim has to go.

    Roussel Gaudette Sutter is not an effective line , they weren’t good with or without the puck . I would go back as far as Gaudette and Jake being broke up when Virtanen was promoted as being the point where the third line became ineffective.

    Nicholas Deslauriers leads the league in fighting majors this season, just resigned for 2 more years. Big Mac will probably get a challenge .

    Carolina was negligent in recognizing an injury, properly diagnosis, treatment and ultimately signing off on a clean bill of health. Doesn’t really seem like an insurance company will be ok with paying out +/- 10 to 12 million (give or take) for an injury that can’t be even pinpointed to an exact day. Ferland obviously just wants to play , but I have a feeling it will go to the lawyers and could turn ugly.

    I was looking at NHLDOPS twitter yesterday, there was more than 500 tweets ripping them for the Chara fine, now the Kane statement. There’s a chance the league is taking some notice of Parros’s performance this season. ( at least I hope so )

    I would like to see Reaves fight Gudbranson ,MacDermid and maybe Chara before crowning him Heavyweight champion. I think he can beat Lucic and Wilson .

    If nothing else , dumping Schaller is not going to hurt the team whatsoever. I’d take a bag of pucks, a used water bottle, or a signed autograph from Garth snow.
