How about:

$6 Million for Messier

and

$6 Million for Eriksson.

Eriksson might be useless and dead cap. But he at least didn't rip the team apart. 

Torres to Beagle contract: Its only increased 38% roughly so an equal contract would be 1.38M (or $380,000 increase) give or take a few bucks but definitely not a 2M increase in inflation due to the cap rise.

Beagles contract is garbage.

Just to clarify that is if every team were to max out their cap. If you take the league median, its about 7.5% less than that.

Torres was a wrecking ball and a suspension magnet. Those were his only talents. At least Beags can contribute in the faceoff dot, the PK, and is actually respected around the league.
