  1. Filip Zadina says he’d prefer to play for @CanadiensMTL than @Canucks & explains why he declined playing with @WHLGiants (admitting 2nd thoughts). Be listening at 3 pm. #ComeDraftWithUs #2018NHLDraft

Just for the record, Zadina was not “misquoted” at all today. Did he mean to say something else? Maybe. But it was a scrum. It was heard by all. Anything else is “misquoting”

@King Heffy Personal stats over winning , what... You got some of that Kool-aid over there as well I see. If he cared so much about personal stats he wouldn't dish out as many assists as he does, and instead score way more goals, you're seriously stretching this one way too far

    3. King Heffy

      King Heffy

Assists are still a personal stat.  If he cared about winning he'd start backchecking and cut out diving and the tantrums.

    4. ChuckNORRIS4Cup

      ChuckNORRIS4Cup

That's Edmontons fault for not winning , they're relying on a 39 year old goalie to carry them if McDavid doesn't score , team was put together horribly.

  3. Benning wanted Connor Bleackley and the scouts wanted David Pasternak. Took Mccann when when Bleackley was gone. Fire this clown before he destroys the drafting

Milbury would have traded at least 2 of Horvat, Hughes, Petey, Boeser, or Edler for scraps, throwing in Podz and Hoglander as sweeteners.  Even the biggest Benning hater has to admit the team's in a better position than when he took over.  Even the biggest Milbury apologist has to admit he left that team in a worse position.

Buffalo would have to be nuts to move Dahlin, he's gotta be viewed as one of the post-Eichel building blocks. Same with Hayton I'd imagine, he's young and cost effective enough for Arizona to want to keep.

The Arizona experiment needs to end, let Quebec have em.

Me too nux (hanging with Geroy)...was doing a "grand opening/signing" in Richmond along with Dave Dickenson.  Was in the summertime and I went early to "line up".  Was so disappointed to see maybe a dozen people there.  But they hung in there anyhow and chatted with all of us in a very casual, relaxed way.  They were so cool about it all.  Laughed because there was a trivia challenge with prizes and the same few of us kept getting the answers and prizes.  Everyone got a prize.

Quality man Geroy.  I have a framed print of him ... he was a force out there.

He then offered to spend the day. with 2 of my group.....  Then snow boarded all the day with 2 of them.

I thought that was pretty cool of him.  It was a quite a few years ago.. but i think the guy was modest and had a huge heart....

He looked and played like an NHL rookie.   It was great to see him join the rush a lot but clearly some of the joins were at odd times.   He seemed to be enjoying it and he seemed to have sufficient speed and size to compete and my guess he learned a tonne.   The fact that he looked better than at least 1/2 of the incumbent Dmen who played in the first two exhibition games speaks volumes on a number of levels.

Even after his bonus for the upcoming season is paid by us, he’s still a 3 million cash player.  Hardly that difficult to pay that and get a player that’ll have more of a positive impact on a team.  Throw 3 million at Hutton for example.  Next season is probably the time Loui E will be nothing more than a bad memory.

Loui needs the money. In late 2016 he bought up five restaurant bars in Goteberg for just over $7 million Cdn. The restaurants were owned by a guy who was charged and convicted of two counts of rape of young women in his restaurants, so he lost his liquor licenses and had to sell. Annual revenues were a little over $11 million Cdn a year. But when Loui bought them, he still couldn’t get a liquor licence because the former owner’s head guy was still more or less running the operation. So revenues in the first year were just over $4 million Cdn. I don’t know how the operation has done since 2018, but Loui not only lost his scoring touch, he lost about $3 million in his first year as a restrauteur. Becoming a Restaurant owner is one of the worst businesses to get into statistically. I truly doubt Loui walks away from the rest of his contract. I do think the Canucks will trade Loui this summer, probably with a sweetener attached.

      Time Lord

Pittsburgh has always been good, yet Sutter was less successful than Bonino when he was there.

But more importantly, look at Bonino's playoff performance from last season. He had 18 points in 24 games and was in consideration for the Conn Smythe. I think it's safe to say Sutter will never have that kind of offensive impact no matter how many minutes he gets or who he plays with.

    3. 48MPHSlapShot

      48MPHSlapShot

Considering where the team is right now, I prefer having Sutter to Bonino. Bonino may have more offensive upside, but Sutter is imo a better two-way player, and serves our current team better than Bonino would.

Gotta love Bonino's cap hit tho.

      DollarAndADream

Nashville has great leadership in their head office. Their drafting has been superb, and they've made great trades.

The Canucks have been mostly miss with their drafting, with some good players here and there, but nothing crazy. Trades have been alright, but nothing game changing.

It's just not easy to get elite level players. It's not easy to get amazing, puck moving defensemen like Nashville has. I mean, they were so stacked on D that they were able to move a great young D like Seth Jones for more offense in Ryan Johansen.
