  1. Nope. He's in Canucks colours now. He'll be in the box for charging on every hit now.
  2. My comment was in regards to there being a logjam at forward.
  3. I wouldn't be surprised to see Gaudette down in the AHL as well just because we can as well as Brisebois. Good point about Roussel. He is supposed to be out until Christmas. We're definitely going to be right up to the cap ceiling with several signed players who need waivers, battling it out for the last spots at training camp.
  4. https://www.capfriendly.com/teams/canucks We certainly do. We have 25 players under contract and only 7 million to sign Leivo Goldobin Boeser Teves and Rafferty. Somethings got to give.
  5. Are you a pissed off German? You seem like a sauerkraut...
  6. Exactly. Why hope they have a poor marriage? Was the OP encouraging that? Maybe I just misread the sarcasm. I just wasn't with the joke I guess. Super funny though I'm sure.
  7. OMG. just admit that you dislike this prospect. Hopefully he is what everyone is aiming for. Please don't ever using Larsen as a comparable as you continually do. If Taylor hall came around the net and hit Tryamkin instead of Larsen, We would be having a different conversation about whose career would have been ended.
  8. Yup and they also suck .Congratulations on contributing to the lowest common denominator. Are you advocating for Murray's failed marriage? It's weird especially if you're a Canucks fan...
  9. Stupid thread but OK. She'll divorce him after 6 months then take half. Who will he blame for that? amirite? Stupid thread is stupid.
  10. His agent said there's a better than 50% chance of him returning to the NHL after this season. Is that ridiculous? Maybe you don't plan for it, but it's one of those spots on the whiteboard that gets a different colour just in case. He'll still have to make the team next season, unless he comes here in April next year and blows the doors off. But as soon as he leans on a few people, they're going to quickly realize his worth.
  11. I'm hoping his body can withstand the style he plays. He is almost always in the butterfly. He takes up the bottom of the net at all times and leaves not much to shoot at. He looks like a taller version of Quick, which gets said about Demko as well. If he's able to track the puck as well as he plays athletically, then he has NHL goalie written all over him.
  12. I always like it when the paths of players intersect. McD will play with Madden at Northeastern this year and he is a life long friend of Rathbone, whose father coached them since they were kids.
  13. I said that before. The Canucks might be bidding against themselves, think that other teams are offering him 6 million when they might not be. Either way, Myers is a top 4 defenseman on the Canucks and he's going to get paid like it. Myers makes the Canucks better, which is the bottom line for the management and ownership. The cap becomes a concern when Pettersson has to sign in 2 years. For right now, I'm on the Myers train, as long as the contract number starts with a 6 for dollar amount.
  14. He's already a freak athlete and he's always going to be as wide as he is tall. You just have to recognize talent. Pettersson has #40 in honor of Zetterberg, but he plays like Datsyuk. Hoglander is Pettersson's Zetterberg. 2 talents like this with Hughes Boeser and Horvat is an amazing foundation to build on.
  15. I see Brendan Gallagher when I watch this kid. I'd be amazed if he doesn't get an invite to main camp and from there, who knows. Tuck Hoglander under Petey's wing, then you gain instant depth and recoup some picks with your extra assets.
  16. https://www.nhl.com/canucks/video/dev-camp--nils-hoglander/t-277437438/c-68561703 This kid has ridiculous skill and compete. Pettersson or Horvat are getting an amazing winger very soon.
  17. Podkolzin is enough, but you have to give Goldy 1 more chance. His skill is undeniable, but he needs to put the skill with a freakish work ethic, the way other players are willing to do. There's so much competition between good young players, that this team is going to be good very soon.
  18. 6x6.5m. Just a guess. 7mil for a 4 or 5 year deal. Hughes and Myers can be masterblaster until Tryamkin gets here.
  19. Christmas in June getting Hoglander and Podkolzin. There's no way that these 2 players aren't in the NHL within 2 years. I'm gonna put this out into the universe. Hoglander can make the Canucks this season.
  20. He's the RW version of Mike Peca. He's willing to sell out his body to make a hit. And he did. He's learned to hold back a bit to manage his body and some players need to do this to survive their own bravado. He puts up points everywhere too. Add another captain to the mix next season. In 2 seasons this team is going to be ridiculously fast. https://www.eliteprospects.com/player/272186/william-lockwood
  21. https://www.capfriendly.com/teams/canucks The Canucks qualified 8 guys and their roster is already at 22. 3 of those guys can be sent down without waivers: Gaudette, Teves and Rafferty. There's already some serious competition for spots at training camp. How many of those guys are going to want to come here realistically?
  22. Hoglander and Madden would give him a run for that spot. I wouldn't consider it disappointing if one or both of those guys were on that level. There's so many high motor guys in this group, it might be difficult to find much separation between the top players.
