  1. I noticed the last 1/4 -1/3 of the season that Baertschi started throwing hits a lot more. Quite impressed me at how tenacious he was starting to become.
  2. This wouldn't surprise me at all
  3. Ya like..... Auld, Bachman, Burke, Brochu, Cloutier, Eriksson, Essensa, Fountian, Hirsch, Hedberg, Irbe, Labarbera, Lack, Luongo, MacIntrye, Markstrom, Michaud, Miller, Moss, Noronen, Oulette, Potvin, Raycroft, Sabourin, Sanford, Scwhab, Skudra, Schneider, Snow, Whitmore, Weekes, All since Captain Kirk!
  4. I completely agree. Cloutier could stand on his head!. He made some real beauty saves. His downfall was that he would crack under pressure. By no means was Cloutier an untalented Goalie! He just had problems with the mental pressure. That being said he has had lots of time to evaluate what went wrong and most likely knows better than anyone what is needed to excel as a goalie. Look at the job he did with Markstrom as proof. Markstrom was suffering from the same issue that plagued Cloutier. Cloutier knows how to coach Goalies! His pudding proves it!
  5. Ahhh Gotcha Cool. I think his agent said there wont be any issues with him signing with us too.
  6. Good deal! Maybe that's where I got this one way deal stuck in my head for Larsen. Is that just a recent article?
  7. Miller is probably shopping himself already!
  8. Oh yes your right. Missed that. Why do I have this one way contract stuck in my head about Phillip Larsen ?
  9. Did he? I thought he decided not to play in Edmonton. That's why he's coming back from the KHL. I don't think he ever played for Edmonton. But it does look like he is currently with out a contract.
  10. Well I dunno then. I know I've heard repeatedly that he is under a one way contract tho ???
  11. Oh looks like he signed a 2yr deal with Dallas but only played off 1 year of it so he's still under the 2nd year of that contract at just over $1 mill per year.
  12. I thought he is already signed to a one way deal ? I thought JB signed him just after trading for him ?
  13. Larsen has a one way contract so either he plays or is traded. Stecher can be called up with no issues.
  14. A year of AHL hockey with some call up time due to injuries might be a real good thing for Stecher. Next year may or may not amount to much anyways. The year after should be on the upswing for sure tho
  15. Good point about the speed skill being emphasized. This just makes a better case for Stecher having good success at the NHL level. Regardless of the training being better nowadays for these kids. You still cant out train genetics or growth patterns of the human being. So it is inevitable that the kid will still pick up some more strength and muscle weight. He will probably still grow another inch too
  16. It helps a lot when you have your man pinned between you and the boards. It makes that pin possible in the first place. The more bench press strength you have the harder you can pin him against the boards. Also makes it easier to then give him a shove and take the puck when it becomes available.
  17. Im pretty sure if the kid can bench 400 lbs he has to be part animal! Im a Mad Ogre and Im not gonna make 400 lbs even once!
  18. Add that to the already good chemistry with Boeser!
  19. Seems like Utica is a little thin anyways and could use the reinforcements at the very least.
  20. So was Ronning It definitely cant hurt in addition to what ever we get in the Draft
  21. Someone on 1040 said that JB was aggressively going after Cagguila as well. That would be awesome to get all 3!
