  1. Stecher is a crease crasher anyways lol
  2. Should help convince Demko too
  3. Besides you add Stecher to a team who already has 2 or 3 D-men who are gigantosaurs and his size doesn't even become an issue if it ever was in the first place! I can totally see the Canucks D in 2 or 3 years with the Giant Tryamkin, 2 gigantosaurs in Hutton and Pedan, an Edler, and both Subban and Stecher. That would be an awesome back end if they all pan out like we hope
  4. This kid reminds me of Scott Niedermayer a lot. They are different but similar players. They are the same when it comes to compete and tenaciousness. Their style is somewhat similar as well as their size. Scott was 6'1" and 200lbs. Scott used his brains tho instead of just using brute body force. Not unlike our boy Stecher! He definitely has the personality and mental composition to be a real good player. His BCHL coach says he just "makes things happen" and wont be surprised to see him pull a Hutton and crack the opening roster. Says once he sets his sights on something he just makes it happen! Kid definitely has the skill to go along with his strong sights and personality.
  5. Kids can still grow an inch until they are 24/25 years old. I bet he turns out close to, if not 6'0" and 202 lbs
  6. Its because he has length to his muscles. He doesn't have to weigh more than the next guy to be stronger. He will always be stronger than the next guy! Its simple physics. Unless you ask the graduate from the peanut university haha. That's why when JB saw that he could skate like normal sized people he drafted him Every muscle group in his body will be stronger than a smaller guy weighing the same. Add that to his already good hockey smarts and good physical coordination and you get one unstoppable hockey player. We haven't even begun to see his offensive side yet! Im glad he got the last 10 games or so here to get accustomed and familiarized with NHL hockey. Now he has a whole summer to work on what he's learned so far and start to bring his complete game next year. Chara Shara Smara doesn't have anything on this kid! LOL Chara couldn't even skate when he entered the NHL let alone slap a one timer! Nobody will even remember Chara after this kids done making a name for himself!
  7. I already did before his first game even! lol Im excited to see this kid next year after a full summer of NHL physical training! Along with the addition of Larsen and the subtraction of Weber and Bartlousy! Nice to hear the commentating last night say on National Television that with some conditioning, Tryamkin's potential is unlimited due to his good work ethic, hockey smarts, large size and good athleticism/coordination. Also nice to hear on National Television that Chara has nothing on the potential that this kid brings! Finally people are seeing what we already knew from the beginning! Chara can go pound dirt LOL
  8. Why don't we call him the Russian Assassin?
  9. This is what I was trying to say before the EXPERT chimed in. The guy is gonna be a wrecking machine. I like his attitude with that big body of his! Im looking forward to some Boston, Calgary and LA games !!!
  10. I dunno. Why don't you do some surfing and figure it out! Thank God for the IGNORE option!
  11. Haha I spit my beer all over our carpet the first time I watched that! LOL
  12. Im pretty stoked about this kid and others that JB has been bringing in. BUT. Its more for in a few years when these kids all become real players and even more pieces are added to the puzzle by our awesome GM JB. Obviously were not gonna go on a tear and win the Stanley Cup this year or even next year but it will happen one of these years with the type of kids JB keeps bringing in! Totally expecting to see some pain out there on the ice lol
  13. There is a perfect example of how it s all about the smarts not the size of your muscles
  14. No doubt the kids gonna have issues like every other rookie to ever play in the NHL. I thought it was an interesting comment cause I don't think the two are even comparable types. So even if NT turned into a Super Star you still would never really make that comparison about the two except that they both are defensemen.
  15. Scott Niedermayer is one of the best IMO
  16. Exactly Chara would be just an average player if it wasn't for his size.
  17. Yep I think so too. Chara is a good hockey player but it was his size that made him so good. Our boy NT will be better!
