    Just started 1984 by Orwell and Catch-22 by Heller. Read the first chapter from each, loved both of it, so now I can't really choose which one to read. lol The last one I finished reading was From Here to Eternity by Jones.

    I feel like even a chimp could have coached that team to a President's Trophy. However, the role/impact of coaching is really magnified in the playoffs and they really struggled there. Probably ownership thought that's more indicative of his coaching skills.

    Whatever. My point is: maybe we (as a fan base) should show a bit more humility.

    that "bum" coach took his teams to the conference finals in 2019, 2020 and to the stanley cup finals in 2012, 2017. That 8 year span alone is almost more impressive than what this "bum" franchise achieved in 52 years.

    argh, I'm afraid that's a fantastic move. Cassidy must be one of the better coaches in the league, his winning percentage was phenomenal with the bruins year in and year out.

    Threads get deleted/archived over time, so posts are lost. Maybe he was a very active poster back in the day, but because many of the threads got deleted since the mid 00s, he simply lost his posts, so his post count dropped drastically. But sure, he hasn't posted much recently.

    1992. Pittsburgh swept Boston, while Chicago swept Edmonton. It was a weird playoffs, first round was extremely tight in almost all of the series, then 5 sweeps in the last 7 match-ups.
