hey this also means some team will get bumped out of the Pacific division.... please be Edmonton.

Arizona will be the team that gets bumped... if they arent relocated.

An Arizona to Houston move could happen with the Coyotes moving to the Central Division.

Are their odds of winning a cup already better than Vancouver's?

  2. Yeah, while I doubt Bo plays tonight, hopefully him just being able to even try getting back into the game means that the injury will be a short term one.
  3. Once his facial fracture has healed, It's time to sign Archibald to an NHL contract.

even still, I don't see him at this point in his career being an upgrade on Labate or even Archi. Maybe a couple of years back.

I'm meh about Archibald.  Even in the preseason, he was only physical against the Vegas Knights, but the remaining games he tried to play a more skillful game.  Still too Jeckel and Hyde of a player for me.

what we will miss is Dorsett bringing that physical force game after game.  Archibald seems to turn it on when he feels like it and is preoccupied being something he likely won't become.

Just watching the beginning of this Preds game and we are getting wrecked physically. Teams are attacking players ur weakness.

  4. Huh, turns out parking Boeser in Ovi's spot on the powerplay and actually passing to him when he's there works. Go figure!

  5. Yeah, barring a monumental collapse from Vaxjo and the Canucks making the playoffs, we probably aren't seeing Pettersson play a game in a Canucks uniform until the 2018 Young Star tournament.
  6. Lol. Ok, which mod deleted my signature? It was a gif from freaking Adventure Time.

@Green Building Haha, no. That's a short clip from one of many, many episodes. Basically the spank happy guy is a goblin king that the main character and his dog best friend have to help overthrow.

      That makes sense.

Archer is my favourite animated series. I almost like it better than the best years of South Park. Almost. I find animation hard to get into.

The creator of the series is ending it after the 10th season if it goes another 2 seasons.

  7. To the random Kings fan at Staples: don't be screaming in my ear at the urinal about how the Canucks suck....after the first period....dumbass.

@SabreFan1 I didn't see him again but there was a group of guys heckling Canucks fans as the stadium was emptying out. Felt good to just yell back "Who won?" at them?

@Jimmy McGill I was actually thinking of getting the front of his pants and then pulling a Trailer Park Boys when security came "This guy's F'n drunk! Look he pissed himself!" but then I thought better of it.

@HerrDrFunkIt's definitely satisfying to be able to rub a win in to the face of an obnoxious opposing team fan.

  8. Wow. Canucks are actually in the Super 16 this week. How long ago was the last time they were in it? First week or two of last season?

I think they've been in it at least once this year already, but prior to that, who knows.

@Jimmy McGill Well, he turns 19 in 9 days, so you won't have long to get that going.

Wait until your gov't buys the F-35's.  Those things are brutally loud.

The CF-18's that you heard are like a picnic in comparison.

  12. He looked good. Was noticeable throughout the game and contributed to the score. If the Canucks hadn't been ventilated by that major penalty, it may have gone differently.
  13. LA street tacos are delicious....but I'm going to regret this tomorrow morning.

  14. I understand you perfectly clearly but I totally disagree. The gay couple wasn't the shock moment. The shock moment was when Stamets' reflection sticks around after he leaves the room. The show hasn't been dropped by CBS. The plan from day one was to premier the first episode on TV and then run the rest on CBS' streaming service. While I certainly don't agree with that decision, trying to say that shows CBS has given up on the show is just flat out wrong.
  15. Not a fan of the ethics of science in a time of war? Also, I was curious as to your thoughts on The Outcast considering there weren't any gays in it and the episode went out of it's way to pretend they didn't exist.
  16. I thought it was pretty clear they were involved in some way from their interactions earlier in the episode and didn't feel like I need to see every step of their relationship. Of course, if you think gay = shock value, I don't know what to tell you. As far as the violence goes, we're just finally getting to see what should happen to people in these situations. People have been getting disintegrated since the original series, Klingons have been known to treat their prisoners like **** since their first appearance in TOS, bat'leth's have been a thing since TNG, etc. It's just now that they can actually show that the end results of that. There have been plenty of references to people bleeding out because of phaser wounds, they just couldn't show the blood because of network standards in the 90s. If you're seriously asking me why the didn't say f*** on a network TV show from the 60s......
  17. Alright, let's agree to disagree there, @Monty. How about gays in Trek?
  18. I'm not saying there aren't bad episodes...but I don't think you're getting me at all.
  19. Of course not but calling Darmok the worst episode ever makes me question your opinions.
  20. Forgive me if I consider the rest of your Star Trek opinions suspect from here on out.
  21. Can't tell if serious or not but you get an incredulous Paul Winfield for that.
  22. Obviously what works on a forty minute TV show doesn't work for a movie but Wrath of Khan was a direct sequel to a TOS episode and is pretty much universally agreed upon as being the high mark for Star Trek movies. You can't just say "it's a movie so it doesn't count". Hell, the original series had a Federation bigwig who decided "You know what would make this planet better? Nazis!" and he wasn't even the main villain by the end of it. Because of casting choices, "The Outcast" comes across less as Star Trek saying "it's okay to be gay!" and more like one woman's quest for **** in the face of lesbian tyranny. Isn't it a little telling that when Guinan is telling Soren about relationships between genders that they never mention that some people are attracted to the same gender? Or that there was supposed to be a gay couple in the background of that scene but they were cut because it was too controversial? That's the high water mark for Star Trek and gays? Damn....
