  1. Miller @ 7Mper x 2 yrs is what I can see the nucks offering.
  2. I dont see any harm in exposing him as I dont think he has much value even to an expansion team. Just my personal opinion. Definitely would protect Sutter over Gaunce
  3. I dont think they mean garbage just that he is a depth defenseman at this point that will grind it out for you (although surprisingly not for the nucks last season). That said some of the posters here that think he is worth a good prospect or 1st round pick are way out to lunch.
  4. I could see Virtanen as a Jim Sandlak type. Now of course that is not what you pick with the #6 overall and probably not what the nucks were expecting (not surprised given the nucks absolutely horrible WHL scouting team I believe is/was led by Smyl & Delorme) but I do believe he has a place on the team in the future it is just not that top 6 role everyone was hoping for. This does not mean he is a bust (that would be someone out of the league completely) just selected a bit too high unfortunately.
  5. I think the nucks are leaning toward Rasmussen and good to see he is on those lists
  6. Rasmussen @ 5. Big BC center of the meat and tater variety. Hard working pp point magician
  7. Another year playing in Sweden followed by 2-3 developing and learning the NA game in the AHL and he could be a solid piece down the road. If we can develop him properly and he does not bail back to Europe once he is here. I do like the attitude he is displaying though.
  8. I think GB should make the Comets next season and will be a solid depth dman for them going forward. While I dont hold too high of hopes that he will crack the canucks roster, after a few years in the AHL maybe his game develops further and we see him for a game or two. That said it will definitely help Utica with the pending loss of Subban (my own opinion but dont think he will be with the franchise for much longer).
  9. Can see the canucks taking a flyer on Foote at 4 or 5 (where they will most likely be picking from) now that Tree is gone.
  10. He definitely shows the promise to be a solid AHL guy. With luck he could be a decent injury call up for the big team.
  11. The Nucks will probably pick in the 3-5 range (5 being most likely) and could see them taking a shot at a guy like Rasmussen or if a D man then maybe Foote due to the lineage.
  12. Sutter is our first line centre and cornerstone of the franchise once the twins retire.
  13. Time to end the experiment and let Boucher go. We already signed Megna.
  14. A few more years in the AHL developing and hopefully he can find his game and be a solid bottom 6 physical player for the nucks one day.
  15. Obviously not their job.. Theyll probably get a raise next year.
  16. I dont think it would be bad for him to play in the SEL next year. He can always come to NA after for a 2-3 years in the AHL to pick up the NA game. The canucks should be in no rush or hurry to get him to the NHL and risk stunting his development.
  17. The Hitmen are owned by the flames organization and they were/are definitely not going to do the nucks any favors.
  18. He will probably be on the sidelines the rest of the year. Injuries aside he doesnt know the systems and thus does not have Willies trust whatsoever.
  19. He definitely has a ton to work on I dont think there is any doubt about that. That said he will probably get better with another year with ND and then 2 or 3 in Utica learning the systems under Green. As long as he is not rushed I think he will turn out just fine for the nucks.
  20. Will he be willing to do the 3-4 years in Utica for development though or will he consider going back home (KHL)?
  21. I could see Jake moving up once the Sedins are done. I think the sedins after next year will sign for another 2 for probably 4-5M per and Jake could use the next 3-4 years to develop his game in the AHL and take the pro's by storm.
  22. It is excellent that Willie is giving him some time in the games and he is probably already learning a ton. That said, he will probably benefit even more if they keep him developing in the AHL for 2-3 years or so and come back with a solid 200ft game.
  23. I dont think its a horrible thing to keep the prospects at home in an effort to probably generate more interest in the game from the younger generation and in turn increase the prospect pool out of Sweden. Dahlen will probably benefit from a couple more years over there followed by 2-3 in the AHL learning the NA 200ft game.
  24. I am thinking that it will take a bit of patience.. Virt is young and a good 5-6 years in the AHL learning the game is probably a good thing for him
  25. I could see him in the AHL next year and the year after for some work with Green on the defensive game but the future looks promising after a couple games.
