  1. Very happy to welcome Khaira to the Blue Jackets organization! He will be a welcomed addition to our playoff group as we hope to make a push for the playoffs down the stretch. We paid a premium for Vesey at the start of the year but unfortunately he just couldn't find the fit with our group. We decided to move a highly skilled forward for a more versatile bottom six energy player. We are thrilled to have Jujhar join the group and are excited for the elements his game will bring to our hockey club. A productive 2019-20 play-in/playoff campaign has raised the expectation
  2. I just realized Pittlick is off of IR... CBJ assigns C Dylan Cozens CBJ activates F Tyler Pitlick off of IR
  3. NJ is looking for useful players. Top 6 Forwards or Top 4 D. Willing to potentially take inflated contracts if it helps my team. cap space isn't really an issue atm for NJ with 19M free on the books.
  4. Adam Cracknell is available for future considerations (free). Oilers depth F with 1 year remaining after this season. Could be a factor in the playoffs. I am looking to clear the roster spot. (currently in the minors)
  5. NJ waives Yanick Weber. If he clears he will be available for a conditional pick before the TDL closes.
  6. CBJ assigns Connor Bunnaman to the Cleveland Monsters. CBJ recalls Dylan Cozens to the Jackets.
  7. 4 notes of business heading into Monday's FL Trade Deadline: 1) Curtis McElhinney is available (TB Goalie); do not need a goalie back but can take one back if it helps (can take a high cap hit goalie with 1-3 year term.) 2) NJ would like to add a younger top 4 D (24 and under). Willing to package a prospect and WSH 1st for the right player. 3) NJ will be open to trading most playoff bound players. We will be on most of Monday morning and all of Monday night until tdl close. 4) NJ is willing to take on some more expensive or inflated contracts if
  8. NJ places Jay Beagle on IR. Upon completion of IR placement. NJ places a claim on Nikita Nesterov.
  9. The Aves are starting to make me take them more seriously. They might be a real contender now.
  10. Heard button on a recent podcast say Powers and Guenther are a clear first tier in his eyes. I don't know what to think about that. Many publicans are going to have different viewings and opinions.
  11. after sleeping on it. i can live with the deal. money needs to go out and i dont know how jim can say with a straight face they won't have money issues this off-season. unless he's worked a deal with seattle to clear cap.
  12. In Isolation it's not a terrible deal.. but combined with all the extra inflated contracts it just feels to much.
  13. If we are going to slightly overpay on any player Pearson at 3.25m isn't the worst. He is by far a cut above Roussel and Beagle. The only issue is we have to many of those slightly inflated contracts. So for Jim to salvage this he needs to move out salary so this isn't just one of many overpaid deals. Sutter I would assume comes in cheaper but he's a bottom six forward. Pearson is a top 7-8 forward. On many teams (not contenders) he would be a second line player. So I'm ok with the deal if Jim moves out other inflated contracts. Jake's salary would help bridge the gap
