Very happy with our Draft thus far! We have done some real remodeling this off-season. We will do a full post-draft recap upon the conclusion of the Draft. Thanks for everyone willing to talk trade this post-season it's been a blast. We will be looking to move out some salary - we are offering our 2nd Round Pick (Pick 56) for some cap relief. If you are interested in an extra pick feel free to reach out :D
-
Anders Lee is on the block - If you are interested in some NYI talent. Willing to retain down to 6M on next 3 years. Willing to let him go for a 2nd or best offer.

Busy day. Bring in my boy Thomas Chabot and draft Lucas Raymond. I am feeling on top of the world! One more pick to go! This draft is going to be seismic for our franchise. Unfortunately we chipped away at our center depth to add Chabot. We moved out both Sam Steel and Casey MIttelstadt to make that happen. We will have to find a long term fit for our #1 C slot down the road but we are happy with our additions thus far at the draft table. We may explore the trade market for a young #1 C but we know the ask may be out of our reach. We would however be willing to move Pick 9, Pick 56, and quality prospect to try to fill that hole in the trade market. It's a long shot but you never know who might be available in a flat cap world. :D

that kid is going to be a stud :D I get your point tho :D should ask fora pick too! -
Appreciate @apollo being open to moving this pick. We are sad to lose Casey but building through the draft remains our focus. We would like to thank Tyler for his brief service in STL. Onwards and upwards. We now hold picks 5, 9, and 15 in the first round. We are open to trade offers of other young talent - feel free to shoot us a message. Never hurts to see what's out there. Thanks folks.

Virtanen for Pierre Oliver Joseph Who says no? -
UPDATES TO THE GATEWAY TO THE WEST Additions: To STL: Anders Lee (Proud to welcome Anders to the St Louis Blues organization. We had him in PIT previously and always enjoy his company.) To STL: Dominik Kubalik (Young, Scorer, surrounded by NHL veterans. Hard not to like what this one could become.) To STL: Pierre-Olivier Joseph (Talented young D man we have liked for a few years now. Happy to have him on board!) To STL: Tyler Myers (Size, skill, and physically imposing. A good guy to have on your backend when the battles mean the most.) Subtractions: To ARZ: Erik Karlsson (We wish Erik the best. Unfortunately he no longer fits the direction of the club. We hope he regains his form in Yotes country.) To DET: Nick Foligno (Captain material - a real leader and workhorse. Deserving of an opportunity to go on some playoff runs. Wish him well.) To SJS: Blake Coleman (Clutch, love the guy but you have to give quality to get quality. Wish you well Blake.) To ARZ: Curtis Douglas (A solid NYR's prospect that we really liked. Hate to move him but it made sense in the larger picture.)

[Speculation] Canucks looking to move Jake Virtanen

His actual dollar cost vs cap hit is quite low.. he makes like a million bucks next year from a team yet his cap hit is 6M USD. A team looking to stay at the cap floor without spending to the cap floor. could get some serious value for Eriksson. It could save an owner 5M in their pocket for the next few years. That is like free money if your a floor team. -

Thank you very much Arbourshate. This move has allowed us to address a future need in our new core moving forward. It isn't every day that a Defenseman of Kaiden's caliber drops down to 19th OA. He is going to be a big part of our core moving forward - through our conversations with those who know him personally. He is one heck of a leader and he looks like he may be physically ready to step into the NHL in the very near future. We would like to give him another year season to gain some of that man strength but he is a phenomenal defender, someone we like to compare to Darnell Nurse of the Wild here in FL. We will continue to get younger futures as we look to draft and develop our next core. We have 2 picks remaining at 51 and 79. We look forward to making some more selections and perhaps even more trades. Welcome Kaiden. We feel good knowing you can keep Askarov's crease clear for years to come.

With the 19th Overall Selection in the 2020 FL Draft, NJ is proud to select... from the Prince Albert Raiders of the WHL... Kaiden Guhle @donut47 You are next on the board.
