NJ remains interested in acquiring another buyout slot for Sergei Bobrovsky. If you want him for a pick let me know. I am actively working on buying him out. A third round pick would be an acceptable price. @Rush17

New Jersey would love to add some picks to this sheet! if there is a roster piece or prospect you like hit us up! NJ will be entering a rebuild phase. We are open to both 2020 and 2021 picks! Only untouchable is Alex Newhook. (family connection)

Hockey May Come Back! Fans across the Great State of Ohio rejoiced today; as rumours of the seasons pause may be nearing an end. Columbus loaded up at the deadline for their teams first push with its core. Team GM Rush17 made a statement after his first season as GM that the team wanted to compete for a playoff spot this season. He later added key trade deadline acquisitions in Gabriel Pageau, Patrick Marleau, Nick Cousins, Tyler Ennis, and Ryan McDonagh. These additions accompanied by the earlier seasonal additions of Yanni Gourde, Elias Lindholm, Jeff Skinner, Sam Girard, and Travis Sanheim have made the team a formidable force in the Eastern conference. The East is tough though as the team narrowly sits within the playoff picture with just a 155 Point lead over the trailing New York Islanders. The team will need to prove it's ready when the season resumes as it may require a 3rd place metro seed to make the dance. The team is eager for a first round match up against the Washington Capitals. The Caps are an eastern conference powerhouse that would truly put this squad to the test. The team is eager for a challenge and the GM believes a divisional rivalry with the Capitals could be what the Jackets need to further grow the game in Ohio and surrounding regions. The team feels confident they can find suitable replacements both internally and in the open market. The team was excited about a potential matchup vs the WSH Capitals in round one. The team is ready for a challenge and wants to have a divisional match of the ages. Rivalries are what grow the sport and the team is eager and hopeful they get the opportunity to face such a powerhouse! CBJ PLAYOFF ROSTER Gourde Dubois (C) Lindholm Roussel Krejci (A) Pageau Ennis Cousins Tanev Marleau Bozak Virtanen Skinner Clifford Bunnaman Girard McDonagh Sanheim Tanev Zadorov Braun (A) Pesce (IR) Rafferty Lehner DiPietro Blackwood CBJ 2020-21 ROSTER PROJECTION Gourde Dubois (C) Lindholm Skinner Krejci (A) Pageau Cousins Bozak Tanev Roussel UFA/ Prospect / 2020 Draft Pick Virtanen Bunnaman Depth Pickup Depth Pickup McDonagh Girard (A) Sanheim Zadorov Tryamkin Pesce Rafferty Depth Pickup Lehner Blackwood Moving Forward: A 2020-2021 Season The team will likely need to shed space and the team's defence looks like the most likely position with 6 current players scheduled to make over 3.5M next season. Justin Braun was shopped at the trade deadline but the team opted to keep him for this years playoff run. It is expected that Justin Braun and fellow Defenceman Chris Tanev may be the ones on the outs if big Russian Nikita Tryamkin does make his return. The hulking 6'8 Russian defender seems poised to return to the national hockey league. Up front the team has a few expiring free agents two of which they acquired at the trade deadline in Patrick Marleau and Kyle Clifford. The team feels confident they can find suitable replacements both internally and in the open market. But they will need to decide what to do up front. It is possibly though Marleau could retire after this playoff season and Clifford could end up being a costly re-sign. David Krejci's term with the franchise will be up at the end of the 2020-21 season. That could mark an end of an era in Columbus that is short but certainly has been sweet. The organization would love to re-sign the aging center but do the cap constraints the team may struggle to make it work. There were rumours Columbus explored trading Krejci this past deadline but no one has been able to confirm those reports. The value Krejci has had on the young players especially Pierre-Luc Dubois have been immeasurable. The team will need to look within to fill some holes next season and the team could have a great ace in the hole with Kiriil Kaprizov. The Blue Jackets acquired Kaprizov in a deal the Senators in the 2018-19 season that saw Brett Connolly, Klim Kostin, and a pick get dealt the Senators. The team hopes he will make his NHL debut next season alongside some of the teams more recent draft picks. Last June Columbus selection Dylan Cozens 6th Overall in Vancouver, BC. The team now holds a pick at the top of the 2019-20 Draft which could feature an NHL ready talent now. It will be up the the kids to prove they are ready.. but the organization has a lot to look forward too as they prepare for what we hope is a fun conclusion to the 2019-20 season!

Rumours of a Tyler Myers trade are beginning to circulate in NHL circles. This could be huge news for the franchise as they look to move on from their old core. A rebuild looks imminent in the Garden State. We will wait to hear if any of these rumours are true. Exciting times in Devils country. Players believed available in New Jersey. Sergei Bobrovsky - 2019-20 FL Stats: 271 Points, 21 Wins, 2 OTW's, and 1 SO in 51 Games. Max Pacioretty - 2019-20 FL Stats: 391 Points (32 Goals, 34 Assists, 19 PP's, 5 GWG's and a 18+ in 71 Games) PM to inquire @Rush17

The league announced this week that teams will receive a compliance buyout each this off-season. It is believed Tyler Myers would be the selection for the rebuilding Devils franchise. The team could also explore trade scenarios where they move out some of their other NMC contracts that could hinder the rebuild. The team is believed to be testing the market on Sergei Bobrovsky and Alternate Captain Max Pacioretty. The team has yet to confirm these rumours but there are reports the team has had discussion with a few teams already. Devils GM Rush17 believes moving on from the aging core may be what is best for the long term future of the franchise. The New Jersey franchise recently acquired younger assets in Travis Sanheim, Ryan Hartman, and a slightly longer in the tooth D-man Shayne Gostisbehere this past deadline. The team could in theory keep these players for the rebuild and into the next generation of Devils. It is hard to say though if the team will have interested parties for star goaltender Bobrovsky or ALT captain Max Pacioretty. Acquiring a starting goaltender could be an intriguing prospect and it sounds like the team may be willing to let him go for a reasonable rate. It is exciting to have something to talk about during this pause to the 2019-20 season. The teams fans will be discussing these proposals for the foreseeable future.

EKL Fantasy Keeper League 2019-20 season
Rush17 replied to Primal Optimist's topic in Fantasy Hockey
So what is the deal around player salaries again? Is there a change coming? this might be a good time to really dive into it when nothing is going on. @Primal Optimist is there a change coming down the pipe? if so can u lay out the details! -
Sergei Bobrovsky may become available for a pick during the player waive window. A second round pick would be the starting bid. Would be open to a prospect or two as well. Hit me up if interested.
-
I would be willing to pay a good price for a buyout if permitted. Please clarify if that is a consideration. @Nail @Monty

Yeah I feel you. I just want something hockey related to take in. Definitely don't the Canucks to be forced to give up next year's pick tho. Just give us something new and fresh to absorb. I can watch the draft 2-3 times to pass the time lol.

Myers will be will be 37 when his deal ends. He's on a promising team but his NMC is stuck on until 2024. Bob will produce as you say and will be like 37-38 when his deal is done. That is pretty reasonable for a goalie imo. I am trying to rebuild my D core tho. is Myers the play? possibly.
-
Myers or Goalie Bob? I'm leaning goalie Bob. lol. I don't like goalies making that much money. Goalies do tend to age better tho. tough decisions.
-
I can feel for you. It's silly they are tying up everyone's cash given these times. I understand the business behind it tho. Fingers crossed we at least get a draft in June!
-
I got two nice pairs of black puma sweatpants. Very premium quality lol. They are the only ones I would be willing to wear now. But I wear my calvin klein PJ's out sometimes too. They look like regular designer pants tho! I'm not a snub but I like to look decent when I dress casual. Costco makes it affordable. When they don't make you wear facemasks at least.
-
Do we have draft plans? or we are in a holding pattern like the nhl atm?
-
It sounds like they may change the odds formatting for the draft lottery. Possibly 1 team can move up 4 slots or something like the old system. Those are the rumours I am hearing. So these odds may in fact be incorrect! We hopefully will know more in the next 2 weeks. If you have heard more about this rumour and its details or anything else relating please share! Cheers!

There may be some errors but I think its alright. Sorry for going crazy on the pictures I wish you all a happy weekend. Stay safe!

The 2020 Entry Draft is around the corner as the NHL expects to host its NHL Draft in June! Exciting times for all of our GM's who are probably preparing their draft lists as we speak. This year is filled with high quality talent including a trio of high end forwards. The top of the pack lies what some have crowned the next Sidney Crosby in Alex Lafrenière. The Draft has a couple of promising defenceman expected to go in the latter half of the Top 10 and one stud Russian Goaltender Yaroslav Askarov who has been called the best goaltending prospect since Carey Price who was drafted in 2005. The draft is deep and it looks like yet another strong draft class as teams prepare for an exciting 2020-21 season. The hope is the season will not be scaled back but we will see what happens as the whole virus situation unfolds. We do not know if another game will be played this season. The draft may go forward based off of current NHL standings. So with that said we have compiled this years draft lottery odds based off of the current standings. I'm sure we would all love to see the season played out but it looks like that may not happen until the draft is concluded. Below are the draft lottery odds and the believed to be top 3 prospects in this years draft class! 2020 GML DRAFT LOTTERY ODDS Seed Ownership Original Team GM Top 3 Odds #1 OA NHL Club 1) Minnesota Wild (1930) Dak Prescott 49.4% 18.5% DET 2) Vegas Golden Knights (2570) Monty 38.8% 13.5% OTT 3) New York Rangers (2535) Rush17 33.9% 11.5% SJSOTT 4) Chicago Blackhawks (2743) Sludge 28.8% 9.5% LAK 5) Anaheim Ducks (2834) Zenflamesfan 26.1% 8.5% ANA 6) Edmonton Oilers (2886) CanuckSurfer 23.3% 7.5% NJD 7) San Jose Sharks (2863) ThatMike 20.4% 6.5% BUF 8) Los Angeles Kings (3081) Rush17 19.0% 6.0% MTL 9) Philadelphia Flyers (3105) vacant 16.0% 5.0% CHI 10) Pittsburgh Penguins (3079) ActionJax09 11.4% 3.5% ARZNJD 11) Carolina Hurricanes (3197) Tony Romo 9.8% 3.0% MIN 12) Toronto Maple Leafs (3222) RL 8.2% 2.5% WPG 13) Ottawa Senators (3589) winterhawks 6.6% 2.0% NYR 14) Montreal Canadiens (3521) Snowflake 5.0% 1.5% FLA 15) New York Islanders (3656) Jaku 3.3% 1.0% CBJ The Projected Top 3 Picks in the 2020 GML Entry Draft Projected #1 Pick - Alexis Lafrenière Alex Lafreniere is believed to be the consensus #1 Pick in the 2020 Draft. Time will only tell but expect to hear his name early on in the GML Entry Draft. Projected #2 Pick - Tim Stützle Tim Stutzle skyrocketed to the top of most draft boards early this season. After a stunning start to his 2019-20 campaign some believe he is ready to pass Quinton Byfield our next player in the ranking. Projected #3 Pick - Quinton Byfield Quntion Byfield was projected to be the clear #2 pick in the 2020 Draft. The rise however of Tim Stutzle and some injuries to Byfield has put in question his status as the clear cut number two in 2020. I would take a round robin format like the wjc. Single elimination matches. Just something to give us a conclusion to the season.
