  2. I wonder if Ferland could return for Vancouver IRL if the delay is long enough!
  3. Nashville is extremely excited to announce the signing of an extension for Jean-Gabriel Pageau. Jean has played with his heart on his sleeve his whole career and has been instrumental in our teams recent play. Securing a long term deal in alignment with his NHL contract is crucial to our teams long term success. We are excited to welcome Jean long term to the Predators organization and hope he enjoys his stay here in Nashville. The playoffs lie ahead in the coming weeks. We are excited for the energy and passion our fans will experience when the Stanley Cup playoffs kick off. Best of luck to all the teams in the eastern conference. We will see what happens in the west. Fingers crossed we can challenge a team or two. Cheers NSH
  4. Waivers: NSH waives Johan Larsson to make room for incoming Forward Austin Czarnik.
  5. Rough he has looked good in Philly. Hopefully he has a quick recovery! Philly can make some noise this year i think
  6. Brett Pesce will miss the remainder of the season.. including playoffs. Pesce has been an integral part of our D core. We are happy to hear his shoulder has been repaired and we look forward to him returning to our line up next season. We wish Brett a speedy recovery!
  7. To be fair often the gm that makes it leaves the organization within a year or two. I think it's easier to just give out one per team once. It doesn't make sense to hand them out individually. Other teams could take advantage of their buyout. Get them to buyout a crap contract on their team then replace it one from a contender.
  8. Unfortunate some really interesting survey options won't be implemented. Maybe in the future tho! I hope we keep these in next years survey too. I think some of them could be very useful to evening out the playing field between seasoned GM's and newer GMs. Any good GM can work their way around some of the proposed changes. It just would require greater finesse and strategy. I am all for handicapping the pros (i include myself in that statement even tho I am a sophomore GM). We shall see what the future holds! I really liked the idea of: Question 5: Should we bump up the ELC slide limit to 5 players instead of 3? This would allow teams to now have 5 players whose contracts will slide at the end of the year. Question 8: Should we allow teams to hold the unsigned prospect rights to European and Collegiate prospects for 4 years as opposed to 2? This would prevent teams from using one of their 50 contract slots on players that aren't playing pro hockey in North America yet. Question 9: Should we implement a rule stating that players can only be signed if they are under the property of an NHL team? This would prevent teams from loading up on acquiring European / College talent in hopes of them signing in the NHL. Question 10: Should we implement a 2 year maximum in which salary can be retained? This would mean teams do not get hampered by long term retaining commitments, some in which were made by previous GMs who are no longer in the game. Question 11: Should we allow all teams to receive one compliance buyout in the 2020 offseason? This buyout would allow teams to get out of any one contract prior to the Seattle expansion draft, and at the same time make our 2020 free agency pool a lot deeper. Note: If approved, the compliance buyout would need to be completed before the start of free agency. I am thrilled we passed the waiver eligibility requirements and offer sheet compensation though. I feel that is a positive step moving forward.
  9. I would suggest overriding this one. If i was the league commissh lol. This would just be good for the overall health of the game. I can't see another time when this would be appropriate. Perhaps we could discuss permitting this after the expansion draft? So the expansion team still gets a good haul but it also buys out some inflated contracts. This would also give Seattle the possibility of signing more free agents to further bolster their system. food for thought.
  10. 1) How would everyone feel to signing their names on any future questionnaires? Didn't really see any malicious comments ( ) and it may actually serve me better to know who's submitting what. i don't see an issue with this. Maybe allow GM's to have the option to include their name. In the survey. 2) 80% threshold, is it too high? Too low? Just right? I would love to know what others think! Meh it's fine. 75% maybe would be an improvement but I don't think it is a big deal unless alterations are often falling short by a few percentage points. Sidenote: Saw a couple comments suggesting a potential move to Fantrax, I'm super happy with where we're at on Pickup/Sheets so we will be sticking with those for the forseeable future! Praise the Lord. I strongly dislike fantrax.
  11. NSH places claim on Austin Czarnik. Will make a roster move if claim is successful.
  12. I have been there my friend. Hold in there. professional help is always a good option! I hope things begin to shift for you in more positive ways. Take care of yourself and always remember and appreciate the good people in your life.
  13. IR ACTIVATION: CBJ activates Ryan McDonagh off of IR. McDonagh has returned to practice with the club. He is expected to return to the line up within the next couple of games.
  14. You are starting to look scary. Great job with your club! Love your forward group moving forward.
  15. I'll use any cap help I can get. Fingers crossed!
  16. Recall: NJD recall forwards Vitali Abramov and Yakov Trenin from the Atlantic City Devils Believe I have room for both. Why not give them ice time.
  17. Also working on a new playoff format that will easier to manage. Last year I got a bit to ambitious doing live stats every other day. So I am exploring new ways to add good content that requires less daily updating of players stats. I feel the visuals this year will be an improvement. The section above is a prototype for part of the playoff setup. Here is a large image of the bracket being copy and pasted into paint. Please note I have zero photoshop skills. Click on image to increase. Recommend using PC. Looks a bit distorted in paint. Here is a copy of the original via CDC.
  18. If you an error above (ie player isnt on your team) please let me know lol.
  19. Just something fun ive been working on. Top Players in Goal, Defense, and Forward for all playoff teams to date. Players in RED are on teams below the current playoff bar in the NHL. Buffalo is in the old NYI slot that was there before hand. Teams are sorted alphabetically. Just something fun I figured I would share. I wish CDC would let me center this properly

Buffalo opted to sell some assets at the trade deadline. We will see how that impacts things as the Islanders, Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto are all in hot pursuit. The western conference remains the same standing wise but Vancouver is quickly gaining on the Conference leading Jets with only 35 points separating the two teams. Arizona is close behind, trailing the Canucks by only 281 points.
