  1. I just can't understand the criticism that guy takes. He's a crazy upgrade over anyone beyond our number 2 D from last year.
  2. At least Bailey has been playing big minutes. Shalatov is rusty.
  3. Islanders have a nice 2 shot threat going from both wings on the PP. New need a second shooter. I guess that's Huggy but they look so dangerous being able to wire it from both sides.
  4. Poor us. Every player needs to be playing at 100% right now. Motter has been key lately. Hope he heals up fast and properly.
  5. Agreed. If both Motte and Beagle aren’t ready to go then yes let’s dip into the farm. If it’s just one of them we need some experience on this road trip. I trust Schalatov. He’s only out because of numbers.
  6. I don’t know why that’s expected of Brock though. I always saw him as a finisherI don’t know why that’s expected of Brock though. I always saw him as a finisher
  7. I don’t like him there at all. What we are seeing now are the fruits of a deeper and more talented line up. Sometimes guys get pushed down and Brock is feeling it right now.
  8. It’s gotta be tough getting yanked from that line. Virt makes them more dangerous with weight and speed. Brick isn’t bringing much to that line as it’s more of a puck retrieval and hustle line not brocks strengths. And on the PP he’s playing that low post spot. Rooting for the guy cause we need him but that deployment is going to take its toll on his numbers. 5 straight without a point.
  9. Bad giveaway on that one late shift in particular made up for with some serious grinding. 2 shot blocks. Total crunch time defensive forward. Beagle really impressed tonight. Man we are killing it on face offs this year
  10. How nice has it been watching our team play with six bona fide NHL defenders on a regular basis? It’s impossible to deny how impactful the depth of that position has been this season. I just don’t want to backpedal in that regards next season. If he walks that position needs to be filled with another NHL defender. As soon as that becomes part of our shopping list in the off-season forget about it. If we’re hoping for someone to step up from the minors to fill Tanevs skates forget about it. No one in our system currently and nobody coming over from the KHL qualify as a 25 minute per game shut down/penalty killing/shot blocking defender. We Will never get better value on a decent hometown discount contract as we would with Tanev
  11. Totally disagree. And totally disagree with all posters undervaluing Tanev. Still supporting him as I did all last season as he’s shown this year how vital he is to our success. This guy is the glue on our back end right now and will be resigned for 3 more years. That d core you listed above looks weak and we would lose with it. rathbone whatever juolevi keep dreaming tryamkin average khl player if stretcher walks he will need to be replaced with another proven nhl player. All the above are not proven. We are winning this year because of our improvements and health on the back end. it’s helped our goaltenders helped our offence helped in less injuries.
  12. Totally agree on Fantenberg. Typical modern day defender.
  13. Miller hands down. Not even close. Every game I watch that guy play I just can’t believe how solid a player he is.His age, salary, skill set are a perfect fit for this team. Incredibly savvy trade I management’s part. Grade: A+
