Panthers-Bolts reminds me of early Canucks-Hawks games. That zero defense run and gun play is not going to go well for them in this series.
-
Weird to think there was a time where Boeser was on a line with the Sedins. Young Bo was with Dorsett and Kenins.
-
I just realized. Are we going to waste another year of Horvat's prime, and then saddle him with two plugs for wingers again when normalcy returns? God I hope Hoglander or Podkolzin blow us away.

We still have Pearson for this season, and he's a good winger for defensive/ two-way support. If Podkolzin comes in and proves he's ready we'd probably have a well-rounded top-6 (skilled two-way top line, heavier second line). I also wouldn't view the 2nd line wingers as precariously, since I think if anything they need to figure out who plays bottom pair D, and if Holtby's still good. The wingers will be fine (MacEwen can fit in a pinch, Hawryluk's probably got the speed to match, and even Motte could have upside).

At the level of bewilderment/shock where you can't help but just maniacally laugh at the ridiculousness of the situation. I hope this is some Aquilini money management bull$&!# because I don't want to accept that Benning &^@#ed us.
-
Miller - Pettersson - Boeser
Toffoli - Bo - Pearson
Leivo - Gaudette - Virtanen
Sutter - Beagle - Motte
That's some forward depth, hope our defense can keep up lol ...- Show previous comments 3 more

Myers has been fairly reliable in his own end so far for us...I am worried when Tanev or Edler get their usual injuries (we’ve been lucky so far....knock on wood). As that means Myers will be facing not just more minutes but tougher ones as well. He can’t do it alone and we have little depth on the blueline to handle even if one of those two are out.

Feel like Green has no concept of how to coach the top six. Every single line plays a hard nosed bottom six style of hockey. When I watch Horvat he's playing like he's still with Dorsett and Kassian.

i agree with those 4 top six players. green’s job is to find the players to go with them. i think of the bottom six players, pearson has shown to be the best fit with bo so far. green has tried several line mates with bo. i don’t know what kind of line mates would work the best with bo. maybe we don’t have them yet. i admit louie is miscast but until they find the right winger for him, louie’s defense allows the other two, to press harder in the O zone.
imo, if people assigned ever forward to the line they should be on, there would only be 4 top six players. how is that green’s fault?
jake has really improved but still might be a 3rd liner. leivo had some success there but really is a 3rd liner.
benning was hoping that ferland would be a top six winger. that hasn’t worked out yet.
in bending’s favour he may have drafted the other 2 top six wingers.
don’t think anyone on the farm is ready yet, i could be wrong.
i’m not saying that a new view of a coach couldn’t improve their out put but pardon the expression, you can't make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear.
green should be allowed 6 top players and then if they can’t take this team to the next level, then fire green and benning.

Coaches are supposed to bring out the best in their players and give them structure that will help them become the best they can be. They also need to have a system in place that gives their top players a chance to shine. They need to motivate and manage these players correctly and help them to recognize their fullest potential.

The Tyler Myers hype train didn't last very long. That contract though, woof.

@Tystick my thoughts exactly, if he watched Tanev and would make the simple play and contain things he would probably be less error-prone. Awful seeing him whiff on pucks and get beat when he could've simply made the simple calm maneuvers. Maybe it's just not his kind of play though.
-
I think he will find his style. IMO, he's fully capable, just makes too many aggressive plays.
Seems like he wants to do it all, but sometimes less is more.

Zegras should have been a Canuck, what a farce. Hope Benning genuinely exhausted his options to move up.

No qualms with Makar taking the Calder, what a freaking talent.

@Pears Bet accepted but how much savings are we talking here?
-
it was interesting when benning was asked about taking pettersson. he said they had him picked over the other forwards taken in the draft. but when asked if he would have taken pettersson if makar was still available? he said that would have been a tough call, as he saw makar as a franchise d-man.

Watching Petey's Allsvenkan highlights ... he really loves that dab celly.
-
@-AJ- He's a big fan of these things

Awful hit on Gaunce today. Hope he's okay.

Late night thoughts: With the way things are heading we might end up with a 1994 redemption series.
-
Rewatching Boeser highlights and just realizing how slick Vanek was.
The three goals in a row in this vid were pure brilliance.

What a great week to be an Arsenal fan!
-
No trades. I am ecstatic.
-
Don't care what the "people" say, rock and roll is here to stay!
-
Hopefully, that was the straw to break the camel's back in Arsenal, something needs to change.
-
Hawks are going to get another legendary BC dman. Figures.
-
God, what a terribly written episode. I'm going to watch the rest of GoT and hate every second.
-
i thought it was epic just because they switched up the ending doesnt mean it was bad it seemed like they could have had a bit better plot but it was pretty awesome maybe a bit more light during fights sansa and tryion in crypts and arya fighting like a ninja was awesome. samwell crying the whole episode not so good

Watching the Avs steamroll the Flames make me wonder what kind of player Hughes will be in the playoffs.
-
Lames don't have Quinn Hughes. No team has a Quinn Hughes player, other than us. Quinn is a uniquely gifted player, who moves the puck both as a carrier, and as a passer. Teams that fore-check Quinn too aggressively will be caught on a lot of 4 on 3 breaks. Quinn to partner, or winger, and back to Quinn at top speed right up the gut.
