  1. God, what a terribly written episode. I'm going to watch the rest of GoT and hate every second.

i thought it was epic just because  they switched up the ending  doesnt mean it was bad it seemed like they could have had a bit better plot   but it was pretty awesome  maybe a bit more light during fights   sansa and tryion in crypts and arya fighting  like a ninja was awesome.  samwell crying the whole episode not so good

  2. Hutton and Virtanen offer a marginal plus to the 10th overall. They're not worth including.
  3. Tuch is a monster. Vegas is not going to move him, they're a lethal threat BECAUSE they have that kind of depth.
  4. Kerfoot and Virtanen are literally the opposite in every aspect of playing style lol.
  5. Watching the Avs steamroll the Flames make me wonder what kind of player Hughes will be in the playoffs.

I don’t wonder ANYTHING when I watch the Lames get steamrolled.  I just give a one mans standing ovation.:P

Lames don't have Quinn Hughes.  No team has a Quinn Hughes player, other than us.  Quinn is a uniquely gifted player, who moves the puck both as a carrier, and as a passer.  Teams that fore-check Quinn too aggressively will be caught on a lot of 4 on 3 breaks.  Quinn to partner, or winger, and back to Quinn at top speed right up the gut.

  6. They could probably retool and get a couple of more Cup contending seasons out of their franchise duo, but the glory of hoisting the Cup seems to have worn off. They've accomplished all they can in this league, it would probably be wise to recoup as many young talented players as you could with Kessel + Letang etc and have them be mentored by the greatest players of last generation.
  7. LETS GOO. BLUES NEXT BABY!

  8. Watching the Leafs makes me appreciate how much our kids actually give a damn about winning. Matthews, Tavares, Nylander ... no heart. Kadri ... too much heart LOL.

You can't coach a competitive spirit into a guy.  Can't wait to see Petey in the playoffs with how much he obviously hates to lose.

Marner and Reilly are the only ones who cares.

      I feel bad for them.

  9. If your teams best forward was Tyler Motte, and you put Motte on the first line, is it his fault he can't score 30 goals and 70 points?
  10. I'm not going to give way bad grades just because players are being forced into roles above their pay grade. That's not their fault.
  11. Tried to not include players who didn't surpass 30 games, their performance is probably not indicative of long term contributions. The most notable cases for me this year were probably Goldobin, Markstrom, and Tanev. I initially thought Goldobin would benefit from bonding with someone like Pettersson, who is the embodiment of the superstar mentality. Petey's work ethic and attention to detail are unrivalled on this team. Unfortunately, nothing this season showed me that Goldobin was looking to improve his game. Instead, it appeared to me as if Goldobin was trying to modify his existing game in order to satisfy the coaching staff. Every time he received praise from Green it was like visible cruise control button was pressed. He's a likeable kid who says all the right things, but talk is cheap. He has no place on this team if he doesn't take a big step in the offseason. Markstrom, what can you say. Stats show he hasn't taken a step since last year but those who have watched the games know. The man is one of the fiercest competitors on the team and working with Ian Clark has clearly made a big difference in his ability to bring consistency to his game. Looking forward to him holding down the fort next year as well. Tanev might have been the biggest disappointment for me this year. I'm not sure if it's the compounding effect of multiple injuries or if it was just a down year for him but he was making a lot of noticeable mistakes on the defensive side of thing this year that I am not accustomed to seeing from him. That being said, he is our best defender and I hope he has a productive, healthy offseason. He'll likely be logging big minutes again next year. Forwards: E. Pettersson: A B. Horvat: A- T. Motte: B+ A. Roussel: B J. Leivo: B- J. Beagle: B- B. Boeser: B- J. Virtanen: B- A. Gaudette: C+ M. Granlund: C+ N. Goldobin: C T. Schaller: C L. Eriksson: C- S. Baertschi: N/A R. Spooner: N/A B. Sutter: N/A T. Pearson: N/A Defensemen: A. Biega: B A. Edler: B T. Stecher: B B. Hutton: B- C. Tanev: C+ E. Gudbranson: C D. Pouliot: D L. Schenn: N/A Q. Hughes: N/A A. Sautner: N/A Goalies: J. Markstrom: A T. Demko: N/A
  12. Toffoli's vice is that his skating is awful and he's a streaky scorer. He was able to get away with it with the Kings in their peak because they played a slow, possession-heavy game which favoured his skillset. But the game has transitioned so much towards speed that he's been somewhat left behind. It especially does not make sense because the Canucks are primarily a North - South team, we would not be a good fit for him. I would rather keep investing in Jake.
  13. &^@#ing piece of $&!#. At least Kucherov will have the live experience of getting swept. LET'S GO JACKETS!
  14. He plays a mature, cerebral game that would likely have him not look out of place even if he slotted in next year. But, it would be in his best interest to test his limits offensively in another league next year while still building his frame.
  15. Poor wording. Not negligible, but not worth giving up assets like Demko + for. I think Soderstrom is a much more dynamic player than Juolevi in terms of physicality and skating. Admittedly, I've only been to two giants games this season. The rest of my viewings of Byram are through Burgundy Rainbow's 'Shift by Shift's. Soderstrom is purely through the shift by shifts and WJC. I am extremely high on Soderstrom and potentially wearing blinders at the moment, but the potential is there for him to match Byram with proper development imo. Again, these are prospects and no one can properly predict prospect development trajectory. Of course if both fell to us I would take Byram, no question given their current status.
  16. I think the difference between him and Soderstrom is negligible, and Soderstrom fills more of an organizational need. Not worth it.
  17. Completely sold on Soderstrom. Defensively responsible, physically engaged at all times, and possesses the skillset to complement our fast, talented forwards. Not to mention he fills an organization need.
  18. LETS. &^@#ING. GOOOOOOOO BLUE JACKETS!!!

why are you not solely focused on the pitts - isles game?

Multi-tasking is possible haha. Barzal is one of my favourite players, but I'm firmly on St. Louis and Columbus' bandwagon.

  19. Soderstrom would be a nice pick. Looks to have the same drive as Petey and would fill a nice hold at RHD. Boldy would be a nice winger for Horvat otherwise.
  20. Anders Lee is going to be an Islander come fall. He's was basically anointed captain by the locker room and is a homegrown talent for the Isles. Unless they land Panarin (which they won't) they'll pay up to retain him.
  21. Even if Goldy produced 40 ppg from here on out in his career I wouldn't want him. He doesn't have the winner's mentality. It's why he hasn't and will not grow as a player since his draft year. He's made the NHL and he's satisfied with just getting by as long as he's here.
